@DrunkenPunk800: because they use a standard, msft does not, and the controller must also be pared to it and again back to your box.... hot mess. That and msft has no idea how to go small, except for the surface team... can't say it enough that msft should be using them to design all their hardware.
Before (and I mean recently) you were finally able to use an XBox One controller with pc, but only when connected via usb.
Thia adapter (it's a targeted network adapter) will let you play on pc without a usb cable.
You go wireless or not... if it is plugged in it will default to usb and charge at the same time. Now, if you were playing wireless on pc, and want to go back to xbox, the controller must be re-pared with that xbox one as usual.
While I am glad to see you finally admit it, which is the first step towards resolving that issue, I am curious just who are you fighting here and why do you love fighting so much?
@jtb_pred: lol.. cloud compute is old.. real old, and pointless when xbl is down twice a week. And devs flocking to them? That is literally the opposite in every way..
@cfscorpio: nope, I want ve.. and being able to play games without the hardware is nice, so nice everybody else is trying to do it too... it all seems to still be working for the gamers you call sheep... I suppose any non fanboy is a sheep to you though eh?
@crashdelete: you shouldn't be, that was just one of many (but a basis) reasons things have changed and why some haven't. These things are all thought out and agreed upon in large meetings behind closed doors... spencer is just a different mouthpiece.
