[QUOTE="sillaris"][QUOTE="RAGINGxPONY"]

And i don't have $1000 to buy a good gaming computer, the thread is re opened.

But i agree with you TC love the game, but hate FPS on PS3, definitley buying it for 360.

RAGINGxPONY

you mean a gaming PC for 500-600$? im sure thats less than your 2000$ 1080p LCD HDTV, and the 400$ console and 60$ games with 50$ a year for XBL u fail

No I really don't. Please link me to this 500-600 dollar computer. I live in Canada so please no American things. And to be completley honest i know aboustloutley nothing about computers and really would have no idea how to build one. (Sure call me an idiot i don't care) My TV also only costed $600, but i use that for TV, and gaming, My 360 was $500, and PS3 is my brothers. So stop assuming crap please.

But really, why is it i get bashed when i say i don't have enough money for a PC?? I'm on a Laptop right now to, so i would need to buy a monitor aswell.

Dude you have just owned yourself. Saying how expensive PC gaming is and that you need $1000 PC, yet you go on about spending $600 for a TV and then using an excuse I can also watch TV on it, like that justifies the cost.

So in total you spend over $1000 to get your setup going which cost just as much as a high end PC but that doesn't matter cause you can also watch TV on it. I hope you reliase that a Gaming PC can be used for a lot more than just gaming....

Also you don't need a monitor along with your PC, you already have the $600 TV. Yes this might be a shock to you, but you can connect your PC to your TV.

1. Price

2. Price

3. Price

When PS4 will come out it should be no more than $299. The only reason why PS3 didn't do so good this gen is the over the top price of $599 when it first came out.

I call it BS. Why don't they release the numbers for the PC version of the game. They released numbers for the console versions but for PC they are not releasing the sales figures, I wonder why....

And even if it did outsell COD 4, so what? The amount of hype and marketting was 10x times bigger than the first MW game.

[QUOTE="InsaneBasura"] Those numbers mean nothing when we don't have anything relevant to compare them to, or the digital distribution sales.InsaneBasura

Hmm what? I am comparing them to the Xbox version, how else can I compare them???

Fact is 53k sales are really bad for the hype the game got. Just look at the console sales, Xbox 1 million sold, PS3 720k sold, PC 53k. Both console version sold nearly 2 million compared to 53k for the PC version. That's just FAIL, no matter which way you look at it.

What if a typical PC release sells 10k copies a month in the UK? What if CoD4 only sold 30k in its first week? What if digital distribution sales adds another 30k?

Even if a typical PC game sells 10k copies, no PC game gets the hype and the marketting that MW2 did get. The only big came you can compare MW2 is WOW and when new expanction come out for that game, it sells alot more than 53k, thats for sure.

Simple really console players are to blaim. They are buying rip-off DLC and then companies can see they can milk some extra money from them. This will become the standard now so we will have to get used to it.

How can you guys say that boycott wasn't a success? Cause a couple of people are playing it online on steam?

Here in the UK MW2 PC version sold 53k while the X360 version sold over 1 million copies. That means that the Xbox version sold almost 19 times more copies than the PC version.

53000 sales for the PC version is a total disaster for one of the biggest games of the year. That's EPIC FAIL

yup, around 1 million sales on PC alone according to vgchartz. that sure is a boycott.

Cyberfairy

Don't trust vgchartz, cause that number is way off. Here in the UK the game bombed selling only 53k units. Total amount of sales for MW2, the PC version is the lowest at only 3%

Here are the sales data for the UK.

X360 - Over 1 million copies sold (57%)

PS3 - 712k copies sold (40%)

PC - 53k copies sold (3%)

The PC version was a complete disaster and Activision and IW only got them self's to blaim

I would change the PSU, cause that one looks crap and I have never heard of that company before.

Get something like this, it's also a good idea to buy a little bit stronger PSU for future upgrades you might make, like getting a new GPU etc.

The amount of facepalm in this thread is giving me a headache. The PC costing $1000 and upgrading every year comments are so st*pid. You guys wanna know on what ancient piece of kit I am playing today's games on?

I am still using my old PC from 2004. It's got a single core 2.2Ghz CPU, 1GB of RAM and the only thing I upgraded was the GPU and the PSU. I had this PC for 6 years now, and I can still play most of the modern games that are not too much CPU dependant. I can play COD 4 at 720p on max setting easily and getting between 40-50fps....

PC don't need to be upgraded every year, you can have a PC for a long time, expect if you want to play all the latest games maxed out at 1080p then you will need to invest a little bit more and maybe have to upgrade every 2-3 years.

The amount of FAIL in this thread is beyond a joke, a mod should close this thread...
