halo has a very slim shot of getting goty as the competition this year is going to be stronger then ever, the orange box scored the same as halo 3 did and halo 3 has just raised the bar for fps's on consoles once again, thats enough for me to belive that gamespot belives that Orange Box>>> Halo 3, and we still have Crysis,UT3 and many other FPS's and non FPS's games that could take the prize home

most hermits ive seem around here dont hate halo, they hate the halo hype, its a great game and it has raised the bar for console fps's, a friend of mine even belives that the main reason UT3 is getting ported to consoles is because of halo 3 sucess, but halo dosent offer much compared to other pc fps's+mod, its still a great game its just way over hyped

and most of this hype was caused by markting
