They really need to create a new engine for the series because the current one is beginning to show its age badly. The problem is, that would take time. If they do that then they couldn't pump out a new game every year and milk the proverbial cow dry. Nothing like running a series in to the ground.

Apparently this guy has the same perspective as me and therefore is wrong because he goes against fanboy thinking. An annual series never has enough time to make dramatic changes. It never does in video games. You can think what you want to, but making maps, a garbage single player mode that is about 5 levels long, changing out the weapons isn't much of a new game to me.
The game is good, but there hasn't been much innovation in the series for a while. Take that into consideration and add in all the CoD clones and I ll ask you this, if MW3 is just a couple more tweaks, new maps and changing the weapons will it really be the greatest FPS ever? Prob not, but it is CoD so it will be popular.
