I'm sorry, have I offended your sensibilities? Here....have a banana....maybe that will cheer you up!

MonkeySpot

No problem. Just put that banana where I think you can figure out to put it, and we're clear. I'm sure you're used to things up there.

:)

Ah...Now aren't we being a cheeky little monkey! I expected something slightly more sophisticated and slightly less childish from you, to tell the truth. Oh well...simple minds, simple things I guess.

I have noticed that people on this thread and many other articles...etc regarding the BF3 beta keep saying something along the lines of "I hope/they will fix all the bugs/problems by release." My question is, does nobody understand the idea of a "beta"? In case some don't, here we go. A "Beta" is an early incomplete build of software (though not as early as an "Alpha") that is usually used to test certain aspects of said software like compatibility, connectivity....etc. It is in a sense "intentionally" full of problems. A beta is not to be confused with a demo, which is the complete build of a game but only a portion of the whole is available for your trying pleasure. Another thing is that in the case of BF3, DICE made it very clear that the beta was to test server integrity and was not representative of the final product.

To simplify, the product is already finished and you are playing a crappy old version of it. Therefore, of course it's full of bugs.

MonkeySpot

Don't talk down to us. We're far from stupid and your patronizing, BS attitude towards your fellow forum members and their understanding of what a Beta consists of is not appreciated.

More like a horribly butchered version of it, this thread is really testing the Spelling Nazi inside me.....

Sorry about this mate, but I think that comment of yours was somewhat unnecessary and untrue. I am an English teacher and I see posts everyday where Brits, Americans and other nationalities use the most horrendous language. These guys are doing quite a good job in comparison to many others.

Two things:

1) Stay away from Vizio tv's. Buy a smaller brand name instead like Sony or Samsung over a large Vizio.

2) Steer clear of 3D for a while as the tech is still in its infancy and its future is not very stable. There are multiple 3D formats still under trail and others in develpment , so my advice is to wait and see what dominates the market further up the road,

Crysis 2. I don't care what anyone says about it, the SP is great and the MP is super fun and has more variety in-game than any other FPS MP.

I'll be 39 in a couple of weeks, and will have had my PS3 for 4 years in December which is a original 80gb, I started gaming I guess in about 1984/85 with a ZX81 which had this terrible flat keypad you had to press to type, and took ages to load ther tape games.

Hey mate, I remember the spectrum! Do you remember a game called Saboteur? Loved that. Though it might have been on my Amstrad.

For me it has to be a very (and I mean very) old game on the PC called Countdown. First, it came on 10 (yes 10!) 5.25 floppy disks so the disc swapping drove you nuts. As for the game itself, there was no save feature and even the slightest mistake while trying to escape te mental asylum at the beginning resullted in starting all over again no matter how far you got. The graphics where not that good even by the standards back then.

I've been playing TES from the beginning of the series....and starting with the second game, I've had them on day one. I'm not going to wait a second more than I have to for Skyrim. In fact, I'm going to do my utmost to get it earlier than release date.

My advice is to try Final Fantasy 12 if you have a PS2 available. This should get you immediatly hooked on jrpg's.
