I appreciate that you are upset with your loss of space and I can understand how it could bother one to a certain degree, but let it go mate! I mean 280GB is quite a number. I have a 250 GB ps3 and even though I have had it for a year and a half, don't delete any saves or game data, played pretty much every game playable, store all my music and tv series on it and not to mention the insane amount of trailers I download and keep from PSN, I still have 78GB left. your drive will be more than adequate. So just sit back, relax and enjoy the awesome spectacle that is the PS3.
