Yet PS3 has excellent quality Hardware that doesn't breakdown on you like a Cancer Patient. While it's Curing Cancer.

It never overheats or fails on you. It works like any good piece of high Tech electronic equipment should.

IT WORKS!

Unfortunately the game selection is very poor.

The Xbox 360 game selection is fantastic! My 360 has never had any problems. This is GREAT news for me, as I don't care how other people's fare. I currently own the greatest gaming console on the planet, and it works PERFECTLY!! :)

I think OP was being sarcastic. Can you see the blue dots on the screen? Hardware failure.

What dots the small ones to the left? or the big ones in the middle? because if its the small ones to the left they are lights on the planet each one is a ps3 i believe and the others are the visual for folding@home.......

its either sarcasm or he doesn't know what he's talking about

[QUOTE="kcpp2b"]This does not stop it from happening, people keep saying this like it's a foolproof method. It helps but people who do this and do it well still have had breaks so it's not something to be 100% trusted and depended on imprezawrx500

There are two forms of hardware failure. The first one is built right into the system from the start due to Microsoft's lack of experience with making reliable hardware (or an actual conspiracy). The other is the end-user's fault for not following the operating instructions. It is impossible to tell really.

When my Xbox 360 overheated, it was certainly my fault.

you don't mean that do you? why should you have to keep the powerbrick off the floor when every other one can be tangled up in a wire mess with no airflow?

because its not MS's fault its not like they made the 360 or something

ps1= ten years, ps2= seven years and counting. The PS3 is extremely prepared for the future, the 360 is getting updated at an alarming rate because it wasn't perfected the first time around. But to say it will last 4 years is naive. XBOX had a relatively small install base, but MS cut support for it the day 360 launched, if they continued to support it it might have seen a few more years of life. The 360 is being supported by developers more so than the original xbox, because of that one year jump start, but if that one year head start is beneficial to the long term is debatable.

[QUOTE="MorisUkunRasik"]OH! ok so when a 360 messes up it isn't due to poor design its due to poor design. GotchaFruity_Fantasy

How easy people(cows) forget about the PS2 DREs and Sony's batteries that were used in Dell laptops which cost more than Xbox 360s.

what console did dell put out again?

I guess you didn't catch the word "laptops"

I guess you didn't catch the fact that we're not talking about laptops. PS2 recalls were not as bad as 360's problem around 40 complaints were recieved sony recalled and fixed the problem with the power adapters. There is no fix for the 360 its hit or miss.

Laptops are computers and people use computers to play games. Sony went to court over the DRE errors and wanted people to pay for them to get fixed . At least MS has expanded it's warranty and are offering money back to those that paid to get them fixed. Also 360s made before January of 2006(I think) will automatically get fixed.

paying for a power adapter is much cheaper than buying a 360 all over again extending a warranty a year and half after you put out a bad piece of hardware is pretty sloppy. Was the adapter issue bad, yes. Is it worse than putting out faulty consoles, no.

Fruity_Fantasy

The PS2 DREs are indefensible but the battery issue was ridiculously overblown. Sixteen reported incidents out of roughly 9.6 million batteries with three minor burns reported.

And all the laptops with that certant battery that had to be recalled. The 360s haven't been recalled. I don't know if people are trying to annoy people by bringing up hardware problems over and over again. I really don't see the purpose. My 360 hasn't had any problems but when it does that would be my own personal problem and not for the Systemwars forum to share.

just because you haven't had problems doesn't others haven't on the contrary many have had problems. If a company puts out weak hardware and no one faults them on it thats just idiocy.
