This month has been pretty busy. Work wise I have been busy and i got very sick little while ago (Fever was 39.9c, my throat, ears was also infected by virus and I was out of this world about 3 days because the fever and other stuff. because all of this I was out of work about 1 week and things piled up...

In the gaming section I have played lots of games this month! :) When I was feeling better and I managed to be seated, I did spend some time with my games. There it all started :P I haven't played this much in very long time and I'm enjoying every minute! (My better half isn't enjoying that much :P ) if you look my collection page you will see some new games but I will show my new games when I do my monthly blog! And it isn't very far away! :)



I also found very good anime: "Gintama". it has over 100 episodes and I have watched about 37 episodes. This anime has great characters, humour and story. Here is little bit info about the anime: "End of Edo period, aliens called "Amanto" began to invade the Earth, and the war between the Earth and Amanto broke out. During the war, many samurai lost their lives. However, the Earth was no match for the overwhelming weapons of Amand, and they surrendered to Amando. The government became a puppet of Amando, and Amandos had their own way in Edo city. On the other hand, the government banned the samurai from carrying swords.
The story takes place around a samurai and their buddies who live in this hard time for samurais." (Source). This may be little weird but still it's great! :D

In the list there is couple "weird" game choices: Haze, WWE SmackDown!... and Blazing Angels 2. And Mirror's Edge is lower than all those games! But as expected MGS4 is number 1! :) I'm not sure why but I was little suprised that GTAIV is number 2 and LBP is number 3. But those are great games!

Today I downloaded Resident Evil 5 demo on the PSN store. It has 2 levels which you can play with friend or by yourself. (I suppose so because I didn't test co-op). Playable levels are same levels which we have seen on the videos ect.
First of I will say that game looks great! Characters and enviroments are made very well and are full of details. Lighting effects ect are there too.

Biggest minus is how you move your character. I did know this before hand but still. You can't move and shoot! I know that developers said that it makes gamers feel the pressure or something... Also running and turning is difficult and it feels that your character is going on rails. Or is it just me? Shooting is easy and fun. Enemies are well made too and there are couple interesting enemies like the chainsaw guy and axe man. You have second character moving with you and helping you trough the levels. Friend AI seems to be pretty ok. There is some hickups but all this is eliminated when you play with your friend.

So... Game looks great and other parts of the game is well made too but only thing at the moment I have to complain is moving and controlls of the chracter. Well see how this is going to end up soon!

- Prince Of Persia (PS3) 8.5/10
- I really did like Prince Of Persia Sands of time and prince of persia Two Thrones (Did I remember right...) And I was really waiting this game, especially when i did found out how the graphics did look! Game looks amazing and controlls are good. Fighting is pretty nice looking and works but there are some problems. One is that you can't die! No penalty! nothing! Something different would have been better... And I didn't like the ending. But good game and worth playing!

- Resistance 2 (PS3)
- I was excited to play this game but it wasn't as good I wanted it to be. Story is still interesting but there is something missing. Only using 2 weapons at the time is step down and graphics doesn't look extra special great! also this game is pretty linear. But even it's faults game is fun to play, it has great co-op and story is great. Graphics are also in the end good looking.

- Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness (PS3)
- I have heard couple times about this game but it wasn't on my "radar". This did come out about week ago on the PSN and I bought this (9.95e) and I have to say that money well spend! Game is mix of old school adventuring and rpg. This is only episode 1 and lvl limit is 15 (which I achieved) I also maxed out my weapons and did find almost every bonus on the game. This episode is pretty short but great!

I'm sure that pretty much everyone knows Killzone 2.(?) I wasn't expecting it to be anything special but now that I have seen/read couple reviews and watched lots of gameplay videos I'm getting very very excited about this game! (I have pre-ordered it little while ago... ) Metacritic score is at the moment: 95/100. I'm pretty sure that it will go down little bit... but this game seems to give everything we gamers wanted it to be! It looks amazing! Soundworld is also great! Voice actors seems to do one of the best voices ever! So much good things to say at the moment. Well see if the game is really that good!

I bought Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness part 1 at the PSN store yesterday. I have been playing it and I really like this game! :) And it was only 9.95e! I like the graphics, gameplay, sound and the humour is top notch! :D You can make your own character but there isn't so much choices what kind of character you can make but still it is nice to have.

Game is mix of realtime and turnbased combat which was pretty weird at first but now I'm liking it. Like every rpg, when fighting you gain experience and you level up your characters. (I think there is only 3 characters which you can play) There is normal attacks, item attacks and two kind of special attack types. So lots of choices how to destroy your enemy! ;)


I will see how long game is but I'm pretty sure that it isn't very long. But it was pretty cheap and I'm enjoying the game :) I will tell more when I have finished the game.

Real-Life:

First I will say that we are now moved to our new house :) (Rented) I did have to do lots of repairing and painting here before me moved and even after that. Lots of hard work and time consuming! But everything is done now and almost all things are in place :) Area is quiet and there are lots of families with small kids. our neighbours have lots of dogs but they are quiet. We do have lots of space now and that is good because I have lots of movies and electronics :P

This is going to be BIG to you all, I proposed my long time girlfriend and she did say "Yes" and now we are engaged :) Wedding is summer 2010. We started to save money for the wedding and we are planning it already (mainly my... fiancee(?) is this how you say it? :P ) We have told almost everybody this news. some distant friends still don't know...

We have tried to be with my parents/sisters because like you all know there have been lots of things going on... My father and sisters were happy when we told that I proposed but my mother wasn't so happy... oh well I hope that she will be happy someday.

Gaming department:

I haven't had the time to play much games until about half week/week ago... I played trough Resistance 2 and Prince Of Persia. Resistance was littlebit disapointing but still good. I'm waiting part 3. Prince of persia was good also but it was too easy and there wasn't good fights and couple little things didn't do good things to the game.

I bought Sony's official Playstation headset with tom clancy's End War. I have trouble pronouncing couple words so game doesn't understand me well sometimes :( somehow game shows that my mic sound level is low so I have to say everything pretty loud, have tried different kind of settings but still... I have also played lots of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue :P

That's pretty much everything... I have to go now. I found new gamestore and it is pretty near me so I'm going to go there :P

And I'm back! :D Finally I got internet connection here! I have lots of places to visit and lots of updates to look into. So... what have you been doing? :) I will write bigger blog about my moving and other things when I have the time and interest. Oh and I will try to make monthly blog this month! :)

I wanted to do this blog before I don't have enough time. Like the topic says I'm telling which games are my TOP10 games of 2008 :) I have bought maybe 40-45 PS3 games this year and that is a lot! :P I still haven't bought all the games that I want. (Like Mirror's Edge, Rainbow Six Vegas 2...). My TOP10 are collected my PS3, PSN and other games that I have played. so lets begin :)


1. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots (PS3)
- What I can say... This year there were only couple games which could challenge MGS4 but still it wasn't enough. MGS4 brings everything together, gameplay, music, graphics, story, characters, everything! yes, videos are long! But I wasn't bored or anything when watching these videos! You have to play MGS1-3 before playing this game! You can play without playing previous games but you won't know enough to enjoy fully.

Gameplay is top notch and you won't be missing any kills because of bad controlls. It is easy and fun to use guns and all the gadgets in you disposal. Music is epic! When playing and this great melody comes in to the play then you pretty much feel what snake may feel! Characters are interesting and they are introduced well. There are lots of old characters and if you are MGS veteran you will recognice lots of characters. oh and this game has lots of replay value!


2. Grant Theft Auto IV (PS3)
- This is probably best GTA game since GTA3! Especially San andreas which was pretty bad. GTAIV has great story, lots of interesting (and fun) characters. Nico Bellic which is main characters this time is best GTA characters ever! He got the best attitude, voice(actor) and he got all the girls :P What other things makes this game number 2 of 2008? Yes, city is smaller than before but still there is lots of things to do! Graphics aren't anymore comic book like, there is lots of good radio stations, city feels more like city because all the people living there. People are talking to their mobile phones, going to shopping/work ect. You feel like being part of this great city.


3. Gears Of War 2 (x360)
- I borrowed my little brothers x360 and this game so that i could play this game! GOW1 was great game and did GOW2 beat GOW1 ass? Yes! All things are more bigger, badder and more epic! And it isn't anymore going to kick locust asses but there is other story as well. There is story where husband is searching his wife. And "ending" of this second story is touching! There is lots of same weapons as before but now there is minigun and now you can ride the brumack! game isn't perfect and ending makes you wait for the sequel (which I will play no matter what!) but GOW3 must have something extra to beat this game! What, I don't know.

4. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PS3)
- Yes this is a "demo" but this game still beats lots of games! (Like that **** Ferrari Challenge). I've been playing this game with my G25 Racing wheel, all assists off, full simulation, cockpit view ect. And I have to say that I'm not bored at all! Okay I want new tracks but still this game is at the moment my number 1 racing game! Cars are beautiful and sounds great, tracks are good looking and it is 1080p and it is smooth! there is nothing better to race against your friend and make 0.1 second improvement to his record!


5. Little Big Planet (PS3)
- At first I wasn't interested on this game, why? I don't know :P But when I saw more gameplay videos and learned about the game I was getting really interested! This game is pretty old school 2d game with littlebit 3D mixed together. This game makes you want to call to you friends and get them to play with you! (if they aren't already!). when you finish the story mode that isn't the end! No! That is just the beginning. You can collect all the different kind of objects hidden in the game and then you have other players creations to play! If there is going to be LBP2 makers have very difficult task ahead them!


6. Dead Space (PS3)
- I don't like horror games usually, but this game took me to very scary ride to outerspace! This game comes from EA so it was big suprise that this game is this good! Graphics are nice, also sounds are excellent! you can hear all kinds of little noices all around you and you are constantly waiting for an attack! Story is good(I wont spoil anything!) but it has some flaws and game is you running around the ship getting one part and take it to another place, so it can be littlebit boring. When going out of the ship you don't hear any noices but your own breathing and noices what your suit makes. This is why you should be looking always around you! Because enemy is silent and deadly! Next horror game that I'm waiting is Resident Evil 5 and I hope that it can top this one!


7. Devil May Cry 4 (PS3)
- I haven't played previous DMC's but I was very anxious to play this one. main character(Nero) is... little bit stupid character but still agood character. Other main character is Dante which is main character for DMC1-3. Story is pretty much destroying demons and saving a girl. Nothing special but still does the job. what I really did like and why this game is number 7 is it's atmosphere and fighting. Everything feels fun and exciting to do. This game has flaws like any other game but still one of the best games of the 2008.

8. Far Cry 2 (PS3)
- Far Cry 1 was good game. but it's ending was very bad. It was graphically one of the best at the time and Far Cry 2 isn't exception. Game looks great! Story isn't anything special but you have choices how to play the game. Will you go guns plazing or will you set grass on fire and then go behind the enemy lines or... There are lots of choices. One biggest problems in the game is that pretty much everyone is enemy. More friendlies could have been much better but I know this is big problem with developers. In the end great game!

9. Bionic Commando (PSN)
- I have played this game when it was released in snes. Great game and in my opinion one of the best snes games! this new release keeps the same atmosphere but brings it new graphics, with new music and with great(but easy) bossess. Great game!


10. Guitar Hero World Tour (PS3)
- I have played Guitar hero 2 and 3 and i have loved both. Okay 3 part was littlebit dissapointment but still. Then i heard about Rock Band but I got tired of waiting it's release. Then I found out that there was going to be Guitar hero vesion and it was released about the same time when rock band and guitar hero did have better songs so choice was pretty much clear to me. rock band 2 is released next year here by the way... World tour has better guitar, drums and mic which allows to me use instruments and my GF wants to sing so i play and she sings :) Both are happy! :P

also worth mentioning are Wipeout HD, Prince Of Persia, bioshock, Resistance 2 , Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty. I have to mention that Bioshock and Resistance 2 are great games but they just doesn't deserve my TOP10 title. I know that there are lots of other good games but my memory isn't best so... :P
