Hello everyone! :)

Today I got Playstation Move :) (both controllers, camera, recharge station, demo disc). First impression is very positive :) I'm sick again... and it's my 25th birthday. I'm not celebrating. Like I said I'm sick and I just don't feel like celebrating. I did turn off my cellphone because It has been beeping and ringing since morning. I'm tired... I just wanted to tell these things :) I try to write somekind of blog about Playstation Move before Monthly blog...

So... Wow that's a lot of games! I'm thinking the good system but I'm not sure if it will hold... there is Mafia 2 coming tomorrow and Halo Reach in September. At the moment I have flu and I have infection on my joints and muscles of my right hand fingers and... what's the english word... oh well... so I have very hard time to do anything on my right hand. It's better than little while ago but still it's hard to do anything on my right hand. Even Holding a coffee mug is pretty much impossible :( and writing this is SLOW!

Hey everyone! :) Short post again...

I have been searching new job for a while. It's because I feel bored in my current job and because some other things... So after couple interviews and lots of search, Today I was offered new job :) It's... I'm sure what is the right word but I say construction/repair work. It's steady work (fulltime ect) and pay is good. Monday I will go and make a contract if there isn't anything special what would come in my way. Then I have to work 2 weeks on my old job and after that bye bye old job :) (finally!)

There is going to be lots of text so I hope you find the energy to read what I have written :)

I've been talking with my friends about games and prices of the games. Lately (again) some of my friends have been asking me why I'm so "stupid" that I buy my games? "you can download every game for free" they say. Well my answer is always the same; I want to support game industry, I want proper copy of the game on my shelf, I don't wanna brake the law ect. Yes, I could put my money on something else but I prefer to do the right thing. My friends always give me excuses: "I don't have any money" (yes they have!), "Game developers are putting too high prices on crappy games so I will give them a lesson when I download their games for free", "Game developers / companies have too much money so they don't deserve my money", "game companies are evil so they must be punished" and many many more excuses.

If you don't wanna spend much money on games then just watch different kind of sales. Internet is probably the best way to search cheap games. Yes I spend sometimes 70e or more on games (usually special editions) but I always try to find cheap games which go under 20e. Lots of x360/PS3 games goes under 20e! They may not be AAA titles but still those games are great! Some games holds their prices for very long time but even AAA titles prices will go down. I'm not always that good on waiting, so sometimes I buy the game for 60-70e (pretty much normal price here on Finland) There is Gamestop here on Finland also but used games on Gamestop aren't much cheaper, they go usually on 50-60e. Exceptions are very old games and very bad games but usually those prices are over 20-30e. Other stores are pretty much the same. There are some exception. Like here where I live, I found gamestore which havesurprisinglygood prices. New games are usually 60-70e but used games goes very low or reasonable prices. I found couple ps3 games which was 10e (heavenly sword and couple other great titles which I can't remember at the moment)

You all know that piracy is very big problem not only in game industry but pretty much every thing you can imagine. (movies, music, games ect). I have been watching/listening parents of some children and of course the children and I'm shocked that parents teach the kids how to download games from the internet. I think that this is kind of scary. Kids learn at very early age to "cheat". Parents should teach the kids to work for their money. I did have to work for my money as a kid and then I did buy what I did want. Yes I have to admit that I have had pirated games but many many years I have bought so many games that I think I have repaid the game companies everything :P :D

I hope you who are on my friend list buy your games. It's not my business but I hope so :) Oh and if you know good internet sites where I could cheap games then I would appreciate if you could mention it here :) Remember that I live in Finland. And if you wanna share yourexperiences of piracy then write a comment :)

It's hot! Summer has arrived and my summer vacation starts friday! yay! So that means more gaming? Yes and no. LIke you know I'm getting married (I have told this...?) 10.07.2010 (saturday) and it's only just over a week away! :O I'm going to try play games on this weekend but I'm pretty much over with games about 2 weeks... Today I checked my new hometowns only gamestore and I was suprised what I found. Lots of games and in very reasonable prices! But lets start my monthly blog shall we :)

E3 is pretty much over for this year. The big three and couple others did show us what they have and I will tell you my final opinions about these news.

Microsoft

Couple very interesting games; Gears Of War 3 and Halo Reach. Then there is Fable 3, I still haven't finished Fable 2 so I have no expectations for this game. Maybe when I have finished second one. Kinect (Did I write right now? :P ) was something which I was interested but after the show my thoughts were "WHAT?!". We did see pretty much Wii games on the x360, I mean BAD wii games. Yes it's cool when you can flip of your hand change pages of you x360 "pages" and if you want to watch movies you can use your hands but if there isn't any real hardcore games then it's just not worth it. and again! Where were the games?!

Nintendo

After the catastrophe of the MS show I was little bit scared what Nintendo would give us. More casual games? But luckily Nintendo did give us great show and they did show us lots of hardcore games. Even when I don't own wii anymore it's nice to see that Wii gamers are getting new hardcore games! There were Metroid Other M, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Kirby(wau!), golden sun ect. and if this wasn't enough they did show us 3DS. My face was about 10cm away from the screen at this point :P Anf if this wasn't enough they did show us Kid Icarus game and told us that there were coming Zelda, mario and many more games for the 3DS. They didn't announce any release dates or price but I'm sure we don't see 3DS this year and price will be 200-300e. and of course they will drop DS prices.

Sony

I'm mainly PS3 player so this was my number one interest on the E3. So what did Sony show us? Last year when they did show us the Move I was skeptical and I was afraid that now Sony is going after the casual market like Nintendo and Microsoft. Yes there were some casual games but I was really suprised how many hardcore games are coming to Move. And many games are getting Move update. If you (like I am) going to buy all what you need then It's going to cost you about 100e/d. Luckily my birthday is couple days after the release of the Move so maybe I can get this for my gift ;) :D There were lots of games shown us also but many we had seen before the show already. Killzone 3, Twisted Metal, Dead Space 2 and Dead Space Extraction, Portal 2 (Suprise that big PS3 hater did come to the show and praised the PS3!), Motorstorm 3 (which seems to more interesting than Motorstorm 2), inFamous 2, Sorcery (Move game), Heroes on the move, Socom 4, LBP2, Patapon 3 (PSP), Kingdom hears (PSP), Final Fantasy XIV and Gran Turismo 5 (Finally a release date!). Where was The Last Guardian?

Sony also told about 3D gaming which at this point is just a gimmick. 3DS don't require 3D glasses and if Sony or MS can't bring this kind of technology to the consoles I'm not going to buy anything. If Sony want's to bring us real 3D games then remove the glasses then come talk to me.

There was also little bit talk about PSN+. it's going to cost about 50e/year. This will give access to games, extra content ect which otherwise you wouldn't get. And with year subscription you are going to get about 200e worth of games ect for free! online gaming and what PSN offers at the moment will be free also in the future :)

EA and Ubisoft

Ubisoft show was bad, I mean really bad! There was only two games I want. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. And what was that "lasertag" game all about?! No no no and again NO!

EA show was much better but not perfect. It's good to see that Need For Speed serie is going to back to it's original things. Well just have to see how this works on present day. Is it enough...(?) They did show us more about Crysis 2 which looks amazing and I'm waiting PS3 release (I don't have good PC). Medal Of Honor which seems to more interesting than new COD game for me... Dead Space 2 looks and feels great, Bulletstorm, EA Sports MMA and of course there was lots of casual games also...

it seems that EA has great games coming out and well see how things work out for them. Ubisoft was like I did say. Very dissapointing! Only 2 games coming out (which interest me) and Ghost Recon is coming out 2011... and Brotherhood is pretty much Assassin's Creed 2.5.

Ubisoft: 6/10, EA: 8/10

In The End

E3 wasn't that big or great I expected but I still give 8.8/10. Next is... TGS if remember correctly and I'm sure that every company is going to give us something new there. Well just have to wait couple months. if you managed to read all congratulations! :P Comments are welcome :)

This is littlebit later than other post because it was so late when Sony's press conference ended that I did go straight so sleep. But let's talk about the conference.

Like MS Sony did present their own vision of motion control. But in the difference that Sony did show us some real games too. I did get the picture that Sony is going littlebit different direction than Wii or Kinetic. More hardcore way... But price goes pretty high because you have to buy 2 controllers, camera and a game of course. But well see. They are releasing the controller couple days before my birthday so maybe I can get it for present (free) :P

There was games shown of course but there was many which we did already see before the show. Killzone 3 which looks amazing by the way and the I feel the same atmosphere which were on the KZ2. Hmm what else: Infamous 2, Dead Space 2, Dead Space Extraction (move game), SOCOM4, LBP2, Meda Of Honor, Portal 2, Gran Turismo 5 (Finally a release date but still so far away...) and in the end we did see Twisted Metal. I'm not interested on this game and I don't see why all the fuss. I have played previous games but... I'm just not interested.

PSN+ is coming and it's 50bucks/year. I'm probably going to pay that 50bucks (euros in here)

So Sony's press conference was great like nintendo's but I'm not sure which took the best show... MS is far away... Nintendo did show some games and of course 3DS! Sony did show us Move, Lots of games and couple other news. Your thoughts on Sony conference?
