Yes, but like others said not everyone will be willing to go and buy those new expensive consoles to play it, if people don't have the new consoles they won't sell as much as they would on the older consoles. Who knows though, they could do it. Pushing a game like this onto next gen though is a bold move on their part if they did.

It probably wouldn't play as smooth on next gen either. Anyone remember the early games of the PS3 and Xbox? A bit iffy.

No one seems to think what would happen if they just went and changed the formula of all of their popular series, the people that like the way it is would be mad and irritated because they changed it but the ones who didn't like it would be happy, in the end it would basically end the same way.
