Adding an extra hurdle with zero benefits to the consumer is unacceptable, I don't give a shit if every person on the planet has flawless internet connections and servers magically stay up for eternity, it would still be an unncessary hurdle and removing it would be the actual improvement.
@AuDog8 @MoronGotMyName We oppose "always on" for being a step backward instead of forward, I am amazed you are not getting that - it has been pointed out repeatedly in this section alone. The logical fallacy in forcing "always on" to products not strictly needing it is can be applied to any device anywhere, we are not bending over for this nonsense.
@jordanlynn321 Removal of features like this is as anti-progressive as it gets. They will of course shut down the servers as soon as they figure they are not making money of them, leaving you with a paperweight instead of a legacy console.
