awesome! There's actually another similar, though not crowd-founded by Kickstarter, project to keep an eye on: Larain Studios and their Divinity: Original Sin. Old school, party-based rpg with turn-based combat etc. Looks very promising.
Sounds good, I remember back when Wing Commander was launched and lay at the bleeding edge of technology. As I recall you needed to have at least a 386 computer, not to mention a massive 20MB(!) hard drive to be able to install and play the game itself. But it was well worth it, as WIng Commander and other games from Origin were pushing both the boundaries of gameplay, technology and cinematic storytelling...ah the memories :)
I don't actually understand the second complaint, "One character ability is not substantially different from the core gunplay."...what does that even mean?
Cause it's taller...and thinner...looks different enought from previous generations that you will no longer look hip in school or on the bus sporting the "old, outdated" 4s-look.
Will most likely end up with EA buying out and bring Zynga into it's fold, in order to get hold of their valuable -Ville properties, like Cityville, Farmville etc. Those 'games' (and I use the term loosely) are still bringing in some profit after all and thus EA wants them.
