I'M BACK (caps)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgk-Gu-4MX8#t=8

Damn, it's been a hell of a while...A lot of stuff has happened, and I've been really busy...This year actually marks my first year of High School, I'm in 9th grade...It's been really busy and I have a crapload of overdue work but first quarter I got straight A's except for an 89 in English...

Christmas is the 25th, it's in 3 days...My Dad's over right now as I'm typing this, I skipped school to spend the day with him in New York City, it's been two years and I was going to, but didn't, see him in Japan last Summer like my brother did two Summers ago...Oh yeah, of course, what am I getting?

Well, the FCTwin's pin connector is officially broken, the system itself still works fine, but I can't play NES games. I COULD replace it, the connectors are about 2 bucks, but it'd be hard to do, it would probably happen again, and you know what, I'm just going to eventually get either a real NES or a Famicom and a pin converter to play NES games...And a real SNES.

So I ended up doing a buttload of research on cl@ssic gaming consoles and which one I should get for Christmas. I discovered that the Colecovision, Intellivision, Magnavox Odyssey 2, Vectrex, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, and Atari 7800 are AWESOME...I wanted one out of the list, and it finally boiled down to Colecovision or 7800...Both could play 2600 games (The Colecovision had an expansion module) and both had a great library of arcade ports with better graphics than the 2600 (And in the case of Colecovision, sound) but I finally went with the 7800 due to its much higher reliability, better price, and in general games that are probably more relevant today. Colecovision has Venture, Pepper II, and Carnival, 7800 has Mario Bros, Dig Dug, and Ms. Pac Man...But both are some of the best systems ever, and I plan to get a Colecovision later. However, the Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn and Dreamcast are probably at the top of my system wishlist right now.

Of course, there's the PS3...My awesome Dad already got it for me. (Not sure which model) He got it at a store, and there was one game that he couldn't get (Thinks it's Soul Calibur 4) as I asked for 5, Street Fighter 4, Soul Calibur 4, Call of Duty 4, Devil May Cry 4, (lots of 4s!) and Bioshock...He got Super Street Fighter IV instead of Street Fighter IV also, and I'm really not sure which one to prefer, Super has more characters, some other good changes to online/characters/new modes/etc, but the original probably has a better announcer, Time Attack and Survival Mode...I also ordered Ridge Racer 7 on my own earlier...Also, he says 2 of the games were used, and the @$$hole security people in the airport ripped off the PS3 gift wrapping and opened the box, but such is life...:P

So I'm really looking forward to Christmas, the rest of the break, and getting myself more straightened out in school...Oh, and of course, being more active here...I have used the forums quite a bit and they're really one one of the better forums on the internet...Life's been really busy and hard for me lately, so I appreciate your support, and I'll try to comment on your blogs too...

Yours,

MrSaturn33

Kane and Lynch? Now a GOOD game?

Well, I just finished watching Jeff's and Gamespot's review of the new Kane and Lynch game! That's right, Kane and Lynch TWO. After watching Jeff's review of Kane and Lynch on PS3 and 360 and subsequently hearing of the whole incident, I suspected that there might be a sequel/remake in the works. After all, love it or hate it, it's a fact that the game has some flaws, that could be fixed. And you can only imagine my excitement when I woke up on the 17th to watch Jeff's get revenge on the series. :twisted: No, that's a joke. Because guess what? The game's better! Basically, he said it's little like the first one, besides being a third person shooter, having one same multiplayer mode, and well, starring Kane and Lynch.

----------------------------

----------------------------

And...Honestly, I think I might buy it. It looks like a pretty good game, and here's some of the good stuff I've gathered from both reviews:

----------------------------

[video=6273720]

----------------------------

* Better hit detection: Jeff said that the first game had kinda poor hit detection, but no complaints this time around.

* Better AI: No complaints about AI, seems to be much better, not Half Life 2, but better.

* Better story/characters: No complaints about this, either.

* Better graphics with a unique $tyle: Not only have the graphics in general been improved, but there's a new documentary, sloppy, crappy quality cellphone $tyle to it. You REALLY have to see a video, but basically, the picture gets pixely and distorted every once in a while, and the camera is shaky. Sounds bad, huh? Well, watch a video, and you'll see that it's actually pretty sweet.

* 3 Multiplayer modes: Not only do you get an improved bank robbing game, you get two more! Just sweet.

* Arcade mode: Basically, a single player bank robbing game. The more modes the merrier!

* It's a third person shooter: I've never played one, and this game doesn't look like a bad place to start.

* KABLAM: The game looks bloody, satisfiying, and full of explosions. :twisted: Plus, the special effects I mention only seem to enhance that. There's a lot of fun guns it seems, too.

----------------------------

And now for the bad stuff!

----------------------------

* SHORT single player: Damn, it seems every game these days has this problem...Gamespot AND Jeff claimed it was around 4 hours, ouch...Still though, there's different difficulties and the option to play as Kane or Lynch (I think?) which should add some more replayability, but still, that definitely blows.

* Lag in multiplayer: Not much to say here, doesn't ruin it, but annoying...

* Multiplayer limitations: Apparently there's not a lot of maps, and modes can get repetitive with stuff being the same that shouldn't. (cops being in the same places always, etc.) Plus there's only 3. But, I'm pretty sure you can play random people, but if not, there's forums.

* Expense: The game is 50-60 dollars, and I'm not going to shell out that much anytime soon, I already have a solid PS3 wishlist, thank you very much. :P But when the price cools down to 30$ or 20$ (MAYBE 40$) I WILL get it!

----------------------------

So yeah, when the price is around 20-40, I'll get it! So what do you guys think of this game? Are you planning on getting it, too? I think it'll be tons of fun, tell me your thoughts! :D

Where have I been?

...At a camp, that's where. :P From the 11th to the 16th I was at a tech camp, taking the same course I took last year, if you remember my blog post about it from before. The game I made is a huge build off of the game I made last year, now titled "The Final Smash: Return of Tabuu DX," of course it didn't have the DX part before. :P I added a new playable character, better control, sound effects, and 21 new stages, for a grand total of 28! Here's the download link:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EJCG12DK

BUT WAIT! Some very important stuff:

********************

1: After downloading the file, make sure you extract the TFSROT folder onto your documents on your C drive, with no subfolders! It should end uplooking like this:

C:/Users/Yourname/Documents/TFSROT/Allthefiles

Then, the SONG.WAV file you see in there should work in-game.

********************

2: At start up, you should see this:

BUT, if there are no options, it'll still work, you can still click, they're just invisible! Remember that!!!

********************

Keep those two things in mind, be sure to check out the FAQ Readme, and enjoy playing my game! :) You can also ask here if you have any questions.

********************

In other news, I got refunded and got a Final Fantasy VII that WORKS!!! YAHOO!!!

And boy, is it great. I'm up to the part where you first get to go on the world map. I just love the game, the characters, plot, the graphics with the beautiful backgrounds, the genius, AMAZING sounding music, and the exciting, fast paced battles. One problem though: Explortation. It can be a problem not knowing where to go sometimes, and I don't mean in general like in Zelda 1, but more, like specific, for areas, it can be confusing where to go next, or other times, it might be hard to know what you can walk on, and what you can't, what makes you go up or down, etc. That can get really annoying at times, so the game is NOT perfect, but it's still fun as hell, which is all that matters.

I also got Gran Turismo, Need for Speed 3, and the Game Boy Player start up disc at a yard sale one day. :D I also got Batman 1989 on VHS, pretty sick! Gran Turismo is pretty fun, but WAY too hard, even on easy! :P The controls are hard to get used to, and are far less friendly, then say, Mario Kart, but it's more realstic so it's probably better. I don't have the add-on for the Gamecube, so I can't play Game Boy Player *yet!* and I haven't tried Need for Speed 3 yet, but the Hot Pursuit mode looks fun!

********************

Alright, this is my FINAL PS3 wishlist, I did some revising after I found out about the Orange Box and Bayonetta ports not being too great!

I can't wait!! :D Sony FTW!

If I get another next-gen System, it will be PS3, not 360

This may shock some, but I have officially decided that I am going to buy a PS3 over an XBOX next Christmas. (if I do get one) Why?

1: A large contributing factor was ONLINE. With the XBOX 360, playing online will cost you 8 bucks a month, 20 bucks for three months, and a whopping 50 bucks for one year. Ouch. PS3 = 100% free, plus Playstation Network cards where you can buy retro games, without having to use a credit card.

2: THE RED RING OF DEATH. I believe this needs no introduction. Even one of my TEACHERS knows what this is. (Her son got it) Thats...Kinda sad. It can be caused by Hardware failure, problems in your power/electricity, and overheating.

3: Scratches. Why not get a 360 Slim, you might say? That has less chance for the ROD. See, the 360 and 360 slim aren't quite, er, as bulky as the PS3 is. What does this mean? CRASH. The darn thing might fall over. If that happens, the game will, especially on the Slim, get really, really scratched up, in a perfect circle. But a PS3 is meant to always be on its side. Check out this video: (Also, you might say that the Wii isn't bulky either and it's meant to be upright, but...It doesn't have this problem. Go figure.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdOjzuJByXg

4: Games. I mean, games? Well...It's hard to say which one has a better library, due to this one fact: A LOT of next-gen games are made for both the 360 and PS3. Check out my wishlist below and you'll see what I mean, every game that I want right now is for both systems, except one... (Well, except for kinda TMNT the Arcade game and Castlevanaia HoD, [might've wanted them...] but...Whatever)

5: Kingdom Hearts 3: As of now, Kingdom Hearts 3 is only for Playstation 3. Hey, it could change, but it will definitely be meant for the PS3 either way, and, if it doesn't, and I'm stuck with a 360, I'll be pissed.

*********************

Now, for the games I want for it! (In order!)

*********************

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Yes, that is a fake box art, and it is for 360. :P But has anyone seen a gameplay trailer for this? It would seem that Castlevania LoD redifines the word, "FUN." You have this huge, awesome whip with incredible range, and when you attack, you release a flurry of smashing combos as a thick blur follows your whip wherever it goes. There seems to be tons of different combos and spinning attacks, and you're just like, "SMASH!" "BOOM!" "BANG!" And there's blood everywhere and it's like "PPPPPPPSHSHSHSSHHSWWWEEEEEWWWW!!!!!" RELEASE THE INNER MANLY HUNTING INSTINCTS WITHIN YOU!!! AAAAAHAHAHAHAH!!! lol, sorry 'bout that. So yeah, it looks, well, awesome.

[video=6211433]

*********************

Kingdom Hearts 3

I love Kingdom Hearts. It's just that simple. (Image, again, fake) When I was in elementary school, my Mom worked in an office and had really long working hours. (Till about 8:00 PM) I was just a kid, so it was a hard time in my life to be away from my Mom so much. Anyway, there happened to be an afterschool program at my school that kept kids there, let them do their homework, eat, play sports, and, guess what, play PS2. Arriving there, I instantly saw people playing a most peculiar game: "Kingdom Hearts." The graphics blew me away. At this time, I had a N64, and GBA, so I had never seen anything like it. It looked so cool and awesome to me, but I never got much of a chance to play it. But then--I got a PS2. And it was only my third system! And guess what the first game I got for it was? Kingdom Hearts. Then, I, of course, got Chain of Memories, and got Kingdom Hearts 2, like, the day it came out. My brother has 358/2 Days, so whenever he's finished, I'll use the second file. In three, simple words, I can't wait.

[video=6146762]

*********************

Bayonetta

Although published by Sega, this one's made from the guy who brought us Devil May Cry 1 on PS2!! So how could it be bad? From what I hear it's quite challenging, but this is pretty much the definitive action title available right now. There's tons of weapons, and it just looks like a lot of fun.

[video=6244878]

*********************

The Orange Box

Well, it is true I already own Portal (Got it for free, LEGALLY, I might add, through Steam's limited time offer) but from what I hear, Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life are amazing. So why pass up this expierience to get it? Half Life looks like a really cool First Person shooter, and Team Fortress looks really funny and full of strategy. Of course, playing Portal on a TV with a controller will be pretty sick, too.

[video=6154227]

*********************

Castlevania Chronicles

This game goes kinda rare on Amazon/Ebay, but it's either 5.99 or 9.99 (Saw it at my recreation center, can't remember which :P) VS a whopping 30$/40$. Another really cool/retro Castlevania game, not much else to say, but, worth downloading.

[video=KyRmxGf45b8Luz_f]

*********************

Devil May Cry 4

Meh, you might say it's kinda low on the list, but Bayonetta DID get better reviews. (In genereal) Besides, I can't imagine any 3D action game being more awesome than Devil May Cry 1 on PS2. I just can't. So I'm sure it's a solid sequel, but it might just stray too far away. Still, it'll be a blast, I'm sure.

[video=6186089]

*********************

Call of Duty 4

NO, NOT MODERN WARFARE 2. That's too expensive. :P This will do nicely, a great, atmospheric FPS, set in the...Whatever terrorist war, it looks awesome, and, in fact, I've played it, so I know it is.

[video=6176872]

*********************

Final Fantasy XIII

Wuzzat? For "such a big Final Fantasy fan," this is quite low, isn't it? Well...Meh. It looks alright. It would be great to have, but the series kind of lost its heart after FFX. I like to think of it as a complete set of 10 games. Forget X-2, 4 AY, and the millions of VII sequels. From the looks of it, 13 is a lot like 12. That means weird combat system. I miss FFVII's ATB. :( That rocked, it was like half action/half RPG. Now it's like, 75% action, 25% RPG. Well, that's just what it looks like, haven't played it, but I think most people will agree with me in saying that it is NOT as good as 6, 7, 8, or 9, those games were the bomb. (PS: Don't take anything I say too seriously, I'm a high schooler writing a 10-page blog about the PS3 while I could be looking for careers and getting l-never mind.)

[video=6251550]

*********************

So yeah, um, that's pretty much it. That's why I want a PS3, and the games that I'll be getting. Hope you haven't fallen asleep yet, this is MrSaturn33, signing out.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F7XYE6UW

I can't think of a good blog name, so just click this...XD

OK, I have a bunch of stuff to say. First of all, I should probably let out what I ended up getting with the remainder of my Birthday money, but I think an image would be even better, no?

So I ended up getting the two Castlevania PS2 titles, and they're pretty awesome, I wasn't dissapointed at all. They aren't masterpieces, but they're both really fun and enjoyable. I also ended up getting Final Fantasy Chronicles, I know it'll be awesome but I don't quite have the time to play it right now. But wait--What's that one in the middle?

DEVIL MAY CRY! Wow, is that game awesome. You might be thinking, why not get DMC4? It's OK if you don't have PS3 or 360, it just came out on PC, and it's about 4 bucks new on Amazon! Well, I wanted to start fresh, and the first DMC doesn't feel outdated to me at all. The music is awesome and always fits the mood, and the graphics, surprisingly, still look amazing, which is surprising because it was one of the first PS2 games, and it's on par with today's PS2 games. But the gameplay...IT'S SO FUN. I've never expierienced a more refined, polished, and slick 3D combat system in all my years of gaming. It's a combination of swords and guns, with awesome combos and the abilty to juggle your opponents with your guns in the air. It's satisfiying, exciting, and fair, which is everything action in a game should be. But it is REALLY challenging.

You may be wondering, why is there a question mark on top of the "quite possibely the greatest game ever made" in my image? Let me explain. Final Fantasy VII is rare. Really rare. A complete box, 3 discs, and manual in good condition, black label or greatest hits, is around 45$ US. But guess what I found one fateful day? One for the price of just 23$ US! (I think, around there...) So I bought it, of course! This is what the seller had to say:

could use some cleaning. plays good. just some minor damage could be buffed out with right machine. Missing the booklet.

-_Native_Sales_-

Alright, "plays good!" So it plays just fine, right? RIGHT? Well, all 3 discs werre PRETTY scratched up, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I pop in disc 1, watch the intro, say New Game, and the screen turns black. I wait. 5 Minutes, 10 minutes, nothing. Of course, I know that that's when the FMV is supposed to play. Guess it's too scratched to play that. Maybe if the darn game didn't have those gimmicky FMVs, that wouldn't be a problem, but alas, it does. So before I get my money back from Amazon, I'm getting a disc cleaner solvent and a cloth, which I just ordered. And if that doesn't work, they better give me my money back. Disc 2 and 3 also look pretty bad, but for all I know they could work perfectly, I need the right save in order to even play them, I could just get to the menus, but maybe the FMVs don't work on them, either. Stay tuned...

Well...You know why I can't play these, but at least they're part of my collection now...But why did I want to get Popeye on NES? Because it's awesome. It's really just as great as the original Donkey Kong, it's an arcade and NES masterpiece that still as addictive, fun, and actiony as it was in '82-'83.

******************************

That's all for now. I still have a lot of stuff to talk about, but I don't want this blog tom get too crammed. But check out my Youtube to see a sneak peak about what one of my next blogs will be about!

The harships of a classic gamer

I love old games. Better than the new ones, as a matter of fact. When I say old, I don't mean N64 and PSX, I mean freaking Atari, NES, and SNES. But being a classic gamer isn't easy. I want to show you some of the difficulties I've been having.

*********************************

Remember when I said that that TMNT cart messed up the contacts on my FC Twin, and I was going to get a Game Gear, to fix the problem? Well, get this. IT DIDN'T HELP. What I mean is, 80% of the time half my games will show a green screen on my TV. Even if I constantly blow into the darn things, I'll be lucky if I even get the game to just barley work. The Game Gear didn't help, partly due to the fact that some games don't work at all with it. I could clean the cartridges, but that wouldn't change the fact that the FCTwin is UNOFFICIAL, and it's not as good as a real console. Why not get one then? Well, the original NES wouldn't be of much help, for it is infamous for getting dusty and having a blinking light, and I'm not prepared to install a "new 72 pin connector." What about the NES 2 then? The price. 100 bucks. The FCTwin was only 40, and how do I even have assurance that the NES 2 will work better?

*********************************

The contacts of my FCTwin. The picture isn't the best, but notice how some of those little pins are lighter than others? Well, that's because they're higher up, and it shouldn't be long before they get pulled out completley.

A good cartridge, Super Mario Bros, next to a bad one, TMNT 2. Look at the far left. See how that little tab is firmly in place on the SMB cart, but on TMNT it's up a little for some reason? Well, Tetris on NES is the same way. Who's to blame? The Amazon sellers? The manufactorors? My FCTwin? Who knows, but basically, the cartrdige fits in wierd, it's hell to take out, and it makes some crunching noises (which is always a good sign) and messes up the contacts on my FCTwin.

*********************************

Finally, I should briefly mention save batteries, but there's not much to say, since my good friend Asagea_888 summed up all of my feelings perfectly, click here to read his blog post about that.

*********************************

I don't know what to do. It's like, I love the games, but hate...

* The original NES not being as reliable as the Famicom

* The NES 2 being really expensive

* Unofficial consoles being unreliable

* Games getting dirty and needing cleaning

* 72 pin connectors needing to be re installed

* Save batteries dying forever

*********************************

Maybe I'll find some alternative, besides just well...Using that "other" method to play old video games. Stay tuned...

It came and it went

...My Birthday. :D

******************************

Wow, it has been quite a while since I have made a blog. But yeah, my Birthday happened. This was the stuff I got:

Pokeyman Heart Gold: As you could probably tell, I was pretty psyched about this game, and, for the most part, I'm really enjoying it. I love the graphics, and the gameplay really has one issue: That is, there is no VS Seeker (or even PokeNav), rather you have to wait for trainers on your "Poke Gear" to call you. (Which they hardly ever do) so basically, you're stuck with fighting wild battles. What a pain. Also, I'm not too sure about the remixes...I mean, the tracks in Gold/Silver were so cool kind of because they were 8-bit. For example, compare this and this. Wait! There's an option to listen to (basically) the original tracks! Oh yeah...You need all 16 badges first...Great. As you can see, I love complaining, but, other than the stuff above, I also love the game.

Stanley Kubrick Collection: Sue me, but I've only watched one movie on this set so far, (I'm going to watch A Clockwork Orange and The Shining again eventually) that is, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Why? Because I want to watch these damn things on my TV! So, here's what I have to do: Set my iPod for 6:00 AM on either Friday or Saturday, wake up, and watch the movie on my TV straight away. I don't want to bother my mom or my brother with them, and I don't want to be bothered either, so, it works, but I either forget or don't feel like it. But don't worry, I'll get them all watched...Eventaully...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game: Uh-oh...Here's a problem. The cartridge. It's messed up. It's hard to explain how without a picture, but it is. I can play the game just fine, but getting it out of my system (the FCTwin, an unofficial console that plays NES and SNES games) is the problem. Most NES games come out pretty easily, but not this one. It takes unimaginable force to get this thing out, and my contacts already are kind of damaged. The system still works...For now. That's why I want to get a Game Genie: So I can start fresh, with new contacts, and (hopefully) this damn game can fit. Stay tuned.

******************************

Now for the stuff I didn't mention before (MWAHAHAHAHA)

******************************

Battletoads and Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team: If you think Battletoads is good...Then you haven't seen anything yet! Take great graphics, music, and action and add 5 characters, level select, more fair difficulty, and 2 shooter stages, and you have a near-perfect game. Best of all, I got it collectible! I told my Dad to get it used (around 20$) but he's awesome and got it with everything. (around 40$)

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow: Anyone that knows me now knows that I was BOUND to get at LEAST one of the Metroidvanias on the DS. But, since I'm such a fan of Aria, this was the first one I got, and it's...Awesome! But whats's up with the box art? COME ON. EPIC FAIL.

******************************

Also, what was my Birthday Party like? Pretty cool. Three people weren't able to come, so three ended up coming. Just for the lulz, we saw "How To Train Your Dragon." For a kid's movie, it was actually darn good. The animation was breathtaking, and the characters were developed enough as well as the storyline being both creative and entertaining, although it was a little weird.

Click for Trailer!

******************************

Also, I got some money. :D Here's what I'm eying:

Despite some reviewers saying it's really not one of the best in the series, this game just looks like a lot of fun. I know it's rated M, but for what? Pools of unrealistic blood every now and again? That's like rating Mortal Kombat M! Oh wait...

Again, this game just looks plain fun. I should really get to playing some of the 3D Castlevanias, and this, (and Curse) doesn't look like a bad place to start.

I already own Final Fantasy Anthology, so this would kinda complete my collection. That's right, if I get this, I'll own 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Pretty sick. Plus, Chrono Trigger should be a nice treat.

You know why.

Well, I already own it on Wii, so why get it again? Three reasons: 1, I'll actually own it. 2, I'm kind of being more of a purist. :D and 3, If I get a game gear, I can use cheats to make this impossible game easier! :P

Just another awesome version of Tetris, I already reviewed this game in my Top 10 NES Series! Click here to check it out. So retro...

Failing Hard Drives (Can't say S Word...) are bad.

Well, for once it seems I have an excuse for being inactive. MY HARD DRIVE FAILED.

(^Not my picture) So yeah, it failed. So I had to call Dell, (and thank god I still had warranty) and they sent me a new one. I needed to call someone over to put my old files on the new hard drive, but everything seems to have worked out alright. By the way, click the image to play a game I've been enjoying recently. :twisted:

***********************************************************

Also, my Birthday's coming up soon! (March 28th) I'm pretty stoked, here's what I'm getting:

NO...I would never want to get THIS game! Well, yeah, I have every main Pokemon game ever, (except Gold, Silver, Diamond and Platinum, except those are just copies, or originals, of games I already own) and Crystal is my second favorite Pokemon game of all time (my first being Sapphire) so it's only natural that I should get this. Plus, it comes in a smexy box with a figurine and a Poke Walker! You can't get much more awesome than that.

Next...The Stanley Kubrick Collection! This box set contains The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Eyes Wide Shut. Some may know that The Shining is my 3rd favorite movie of all time and that A Clockwork Orange is my 4th. Of course, I can'y wait to watch the others either.

Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesTeenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,Heroes in a half-shell,Turtle power! But...Why am I getting this? One word: Konami. Konami makes some of the best beat-em ups ever, and their TMNT games are no exception. This is actually a port of the popular Arcade Game, but for the NES. Still though, I've played it, and it's beat-em up action at its finest.

***********************************************************

That's all for now, so until next time.

Splinter taught them to be ninja teens (He's a radical rat!)
Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines (That's a fact, Jack!)
Raphael is cool but crude (Gimme a break!)
Michaelangelo is a party dude (Party!)

I got 2 new games! (Sorta)

Well, the first game I got was Kirby Canvas Curse. Thing is, I had owned it before. See, I had a case for my DSPhat (It's broken now :P) a while back, and to my recollection, I left it somewhere with Kirby Canvas Curse in it. I've been missing it ever since, so I finally got it back again, (used, can you believe that it's out of production already? :() and I must say, I'm pleased. Only problem, my DS is permanently unsynced. (Click for my forum post :P)

The next game I got is Majora's Mask! (on Virtual Console) I actually own the orginal N64 cartridge, but I got this version for a few reasons:

******************************************************

1) I can't stand the N64 controller. It's impossible to hold, the analog stick isn't reliable, and, in my opinion, the Gamecube controller is much better.

2) The freezing. The N64 cartridge of Majora's Mask is infamous for freezing, especially during the Song of Soaring cutscene, which you'll be doing ALL the time. Since saving is quite unoften in this game, this really becomes an issue.

3) Finally, the cartridge itself. All of my N64 carts take blowing in them to work, and even then they sometimes don't work right. Don't get me wrong, I love the N64, but it isn't the best built system.

I just beat the Snowhead Temple, and I'm doing that Goron Racetrack thing. Has anyone else done that? It's freaking impossible. I've tried like, a million times, I just can't beat it. You get an awesome sword if you do it, but it's just so hard.

Other then those factors though, I'm really enjoying them.

BTW, HEART GOLD AND SOUL SILVER!!! :D:D:D

The best reward for beating a game

Yup, I beat Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. It was a pretty great game, but the best part is that if you put in the Konami code when you see the Konami logo, you can play as Simon Belmont in Boss Rush Mode! Trust me, It's awesome.

Also, since uploading videos is not a problem anymore, I was able to get the rest of my Top 10 NES Games Marathon up here too!

Now that I beat the Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow, I think I'm going to try starting Circle of Moon. (What a stupid name for a game!)

I just realized: My last 3 blogs have only been about Castlevania :shock:
