Gaming has helped me so much through hard times, it's pretty crazy once I think about it. Especially now that I'm in the Army, video games just helps deal with the stresses of military life. There is nothing in the world like coming back to the barracks after a hard day of training and playing Xbox, just nothing like it. During basic training and AIT, I had no access to video games for like 15 straight weeks. During the hardest times of training, I would always think about video games and it would motivate me to get through, knowing that my Xbox was at home waiting for me, and I just had to get through this next ruckmarch or the next long run. Hell, before I even thought about joining the Army, video games helped me deal with school and sometimes even troubles in the family. They are a hobby that can never be replaced for me.

I'm probably picking up LA Noire on release date. I'm really interested in it. Homefront is the only other game that I really want.

I dont like scaling. I like to level and be able to destroy anything lower level in my path. AutoPilotOn
Yeah, this is probably the biggest thing I dislike about level scaling. I want to feel more powerful AS I become more powerful, to feel like I'm progressing more through the game. Later on in the game you can meet enemies who are on your level and eventually you become the most powerful at the end.

No level scaling usually means grinding. I'd rather not grind. Leveled loot, on the other hand, I'd tone down. There can only be so many pieces of badass gear.ColonelWilks
Yeah Oblivion was a little ridiculous once you got to level 20 or higher. Every enemy NPC you meet was wearing glass armor and using expensive weapons, even bandits.

Not a big fan of level scaling but I suppose Fallout 3 had a much better system than Oblivion. The story and overall hugeness of the game will more than make up for level scaling. The plot sounds way more interesting this time around.

If I was planning on getting that system or maybe if I wanted to buy it as a gift for someone.

I used to fight at a gym almost every day after school. I was training to fight in a cage but I was too young, you had to be 18, so I would just train a lot. I'd say the longest fight I got in MIGHT have been 10 minutes. It was all grappling though for the most part. I would also be in Taekwondo class before the cage fighting guys would come in, and I'm pretty sure some spars I was in lasted awhile, never kept track though.

The only one I'd be interested in is Timesplitters. used to play that a lot back in the day, but only the multiplayer with the bots.

I'm in the Army so in the game you'd get up at 4:30 every morning, wait until 6 AM to start physical training. Finish PT, go to chow, and then train to take down insurgents and the enemies of the United States in foreign countries. The game would involve waiting around for something to happen for at least 4 hours before you do anything...and being talked to like a **** by power hungry NCOs.
