The next CoD game. I also can't see the new Deus Ex being all that great, but it'll probably be pretty fun. I don't expect much from Dead Space 2 either, but wouldn't be surprised if it was good either.

I think everyone can get used to horror games, but I think you kind of have to have a little mental toughness to deal with the more psychological games out there. Some games can really mess with your head. I usually just take a non-serious approach to horror games and laugh at them most of the time.

Medal of Honor, Halo, Call of Duty. I'm really burnt out on all the FPS franchises at the moment. Final Fantasy has been way overdone as well. You'd have to be a seriously committed fan to deny the fact that they've milked the **** out of it.

It depends on the game. If I really enjoyed it, I usually start right back over again. I've beaten a lot of games in my library like 2-3 times, sometimes even more. Especially RPG games like Fallout 3 where you can make good or evil choices, or choose how you want to play the game. I can play games like that over and over and still not work out all the possibilities.

Fable 3. I don't know what it is about it, I enjoyed it for the most part but there's always the thought in my head that it could have been so much more.

I'm with the majority on this one, take GTA back to a beach/tropical location like Vice City. That was cool back when Vice City first came out, imagine what it would be like with Rockstar's current graphics engine.

Probably the Lakers. When Kobe is playing at his best he can just carry the whole team, and when he's having an off night you have all these great players to fall back on.

Amazon is a great place to buy used games. I bought ICO on there used because I couldn't find it all my local Gamestop and it's way too expensive online for a new copy. It came in great condition, you just have to be willing to pay for a higher end used one. I never buy anything from there that's "good" or "acceptable". I usually go for a "Like New" or "very good" condition rating, even if it's not that much cheaper than a new copy.

[QUOTE="Harisemo"]

[QUOTE="ad1x2"]

The Taliban likes to hide behind civilians when they are doing their dirty work. The biggest reason is to make us look bad; if we have to level a village to get them we look like the bad guys. To say the US never made a mistake over there would be naive; innocent people have died in some cases by US troops. But it wasn't done on purpose (in the rare case it was done on purpose the troops responsible were court-martialed) and the vast majority of civilians who die are killed by the other side. Rules of engagement make it much harder for troops because the enemy may know what the rules are and they'll exploit them since they don't have to follow them. Regardless of when and where, combat isn't going to be neat and friendly.

stvee101

Vast majority of civilians are killed by US whether it be deliberate or because of crap intelligence or simply a mistake though its not given enough attention in the media while Taliban who kill civilians makes headlines every where. Taliban never kill civilians deliberately. They only kill those who are working withforeign forcesor some civilians who might die when a convoy is attacked in populated area. Taliban are defending Afghanistan and its people and they have massive support whether you want to admit it or not or whether its reported in western media or not.

Just few weeks back 60 civilians were killed in a number of drone attacks in a single day in Pakistan.Also in many occasions when a drone attacks and people around the villages come to help those injured people, another drone attack kills those people as well! i mean wtf is that man? and you might have also noticed in these attacks always 'suspected terrorists' die, and they are almost always innocent people!

but then who really cares if 60 or 100 or 100,000 people die in Afghanistan and Pakistan or Iraq?

:lol:

And then you go on to contradict yourself in the very next sentence.

I'm British and my support is quickly wavering for this seemingly un-winnable war,but honestly,its so easy for some people to sit at their keyboards and criticize the US military.Sure they've made mistakes and are by no means perfect,but do you have any idea how hard it is to fight against such a ruthless and cunning enemy as the taliban? An enemy who knows the land like the back of their hand and aren't above using civilians and populated urban ares as "cover".

Took the words right out of my mouth. The U.S. military can only do so much against hit and run attacks and IEDs. The Taliban are cowards, but they're clever cowards.

Now, I didn't read the entire article, but what I did read made it sound like the village had been overrun by the Taliban and infested with explosives and traps before the US forces rolled in. And that, after the destruction, efforts were underway to rebuild the village.

The article seems awfully skewed... and frankly, so does your thread.

That they did, however bombing the hell out of the village seems kind of extreme, don't you think?

If you're not actually fighting in the war, it might seem extreme. However, if it's your life and the life of your battle buddies at risk, I'd gladly bomb that village. The thing was obviously full of Taliban. The U.S. military's not going to bomb a whole village full of civilians. Granted, mistakes are always made but it's not like this is Vietnam.
