I've never understood why but I do agree with you. Games based on movies just suck. I think it's because no good developers will touch projects based on movies.

Most spoof movies, Legally Blonde movies, Eragon, Twilight movies, all of Fox's comic book movies,Burn After Reading, and Gentlemen Broncos.

The-Tree
Burn After Reading was pretty damn funny, but the characters are just annoying. George Clooney's wife and the chick that wanted the surgeries just ruined the movie for me. Eragon was also a pretty horrible movie but the book wasn't very good either so no surprise there.

Scott Pilgrim and Zombieland because I have a sense of humor.

Saturos3091
Zombieland wasn't bad the first time but the second time I watched it, the little douchebag main character just gets on your nerves.

That new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. What the hell were they thinking? Also any movies that makes fun of other movies like Scary Movie, Meet the Spartans, Superhero movie, etc.

I've seen way too many anime to recommend all the ones that you should watch, but I'll start off with some must watch titles that any anime fan should have knowledge about. Neon Genesis Evangelion (watch this first!) Berserk Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (don't bother watching the original series, it's still good but Brotherhood is 100% on spot with the manga) Trigun These four series are series you NEED to watch before going into any anime discussion with serious fans of anime. Also might want to check out Code Geass, both seasons.

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]

[QUOTE="Stanley09"] by joining the military, that person is supporting the war in the middle east. how is someone in the middle east killing towelheads protecting my freedoms? theyre not how is someone on a base in germany protecting me freedoms? theyre not I also dont see why we need to have military bases all around the world. I see why other countries are mad at us and think we are all thatStanley09

No by joining the military that person is defending his/her country and making sure that America is not threatened. Period.

Military bases around the world? So we aren't surprised by what other countries do....

Soldiers should not protest against the middle east war when they are the ones who willingly signed up to go, fight, and possibly die over there for no reason

For someone who has never been in the military or fought in war overseas you sure do talk a lot of nonsense about it. NO soldier I know is ever prepared for war, and some soldiers go over there and experience things that you can't even imagine. They have EVERY right to protest something they think is unjust. Hell, they FIGHT for that right. Soldiers are the only reason we have those rights to begin with. Servicemen, more than anyone, have the right to protest.

[QUOTE="Stanley09"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="Stanley09"] like what? wasting nearly $500million of taxpayer money per day? Killing more civillians over there than terrorists ever would have managed to kill here?

The insurgents ARE the one's killing civilians.:|

err..not exactly. the us troops have killed more civilians than insurgents at checkpoints, and continued to kill people who surrendered. The insurgents also thrive on us being there, and there really is no way to wipe them all out. Not to mention we didnt exactly kill Saddam for his crimes against humanity. We supported him when he was with us against Iran. It wasnt until he started doing things we didnt like that we actually went to stop him

Don't even for a second talk like you know what happens overseas. You have NO idea what goes on over there, so quit talking like you do. Do people ever think about why military guys get so frustrated sometimes? It's because we see civilians walk around thinking they know what they're talking about, when they have NO idea at all. We kill people who surrender? Just say that to my squad leader's face and see what he has to say about that. You'll probably get knocked out.

First off, let me say that I love most of the responses to this thread. It's great to see that so many people on here support the military. I'm in the United States Army right now as an infantryman, currently going through Airborne School (writing this post as we speak in the barracks!) and it's hard for people outside of the military to understand our struggle, especially younger people who have never really gotten outside of the house and had a real challenge in their lives. I know that before I went into the military, my life was easy. I THOUGHT it was hard. But after being in the Army for awhile now, I realize that my 9 to 5 job and high school was very easy compared to military life. It's hard to not carry that sense of accomplishment with me everywhere I go. It's something us military guys earn. It's not my fault you ran into a few people that grinded your gears because they were TOO proud, so don't go putting me into that group, or any other military guy until you've met them. And instead of looking down on soldiers for killing people overseas, think about why they're killing. We're killing because our brothers are in danger, we protect each other over there. You should be thankful that there are people willing to do that, willing to risk their lives and make the ultimate sacrifice so you can even get on this message board and post this nonsense. We sacrifice time with our families and our hobbies and way of life because we feel that something in this country needs to be protected. Thanks again for all the great responses here.

Agreed. If the new Elder Scrolls is anything like Oblivion or Morrowind, that game could last you a very long time and also be a whole lot of fun.

Fable 3 would be your best bet if you want to get achievements. Out of the two though, I'd say I enjoyed Red Dead Redemption a lot more. It really is an amazing game. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy Fable 3, RDR was just my personal Game of the Year last year.
