^ I really want to believe that, but where are you getting that information from?
Mr_Matthews' forum posts
[QUOTE="judog1"]I see you have a paronia about gba batteries dying...this is the 5th time I've seen you post about that :Phydralisk86Yeah, but that's because I wanted to find a way out over this whole gba cart issue. There are some good game boy advance games, so this naturally what I have been getting info about.
Gameboy Advance carts aren't the same as Gameboy Color carts: they don't use battery saves. They use a flash save format (the same as DS carts, I believe).
Any GBA cartridge you buy that has an actual battery it in is probably a repro/pirated copy.
And you seem to be under the impression that game batteries go dead in a year or two;they can go on for over twenty years.
[QUOTE="Mr_Matthews"]Hmmm, but I supposed we all have our own preferences. Funny I never heard ppl talk about this game.Eh . . . I'd say that Moon was about as good as Metroid Prime Hunters, which is not to say I was blown away by either of them. MPH was a decent but disappointing entry into the otherwise fantastic "Prime" series, and Moon was a bit too "me too" and repetitive for my tastes. Oh, and the music was terrible.

Don't get me wrong, MPH looks and plays fantastic. But the level design wasn't terribly clever, the puzzles were lame and few-and-far-between, there were only two styles of bosses that they just used over and over again, and the standard enemies were boring and primitive looking.
I definitely enjoyed it as I was playing it, but when I finished I felt a bit unsatisfied. Then when I played Moon, all I could think was "think game is just like MPH."
They're both good games, but I wouldn't put either in my top 10 DS games list.
[QUOTE="Mr_Matthews"]thats a pretty ignorant statement...the only thing thats the same is that you jump on enemies heads and fight bosses but thats hardly enough to call it a "blatant" ripoff. theres games that are much worseIt's not like Donkey Kong Country was terribly original to begin with: it was a blatant rip-off of Mario World. Nintendo probably wants to focus on keeping each of their core franchises unique.

Actually, there are a lot more similarities in gameplay than just "you jump on enemies heads in both games and fight bosses." It's practically the same game, in fact, just with different art design, looser, play control, and fewer secrets.
And I'm not surprised that Banjo-Kazooie used Mario 64's engine: that's another game that is often accused (rightfully) of being a blatant rip-off.
This is Rare's style, people: they are not terribly good at innovation, so they just take existing games and alter them slightly.
^ I agree with all of the above games, and I would like to contribute the original Gameboy version of Bionic Commando (not Elite Forces for the GBC).
Now you're set!

It sold terrible for a GTA game.
darth-pyschosis
no. GTA: CW sales first 30 days at retail 200k in North America
GTA on PSP sales first 30 days at retail 156k in North America
its already selling better than some other GTAs
Dude, where are you getting these numbers? It's pretty well-documented that CW sold terribly.

I personally really enjoyed Phantom Hourglass, and I plan on playing through it again before too long to prepare for Spirit Tracks.
However, I was surprised to see Link's Awakening get so little love, since most of the people I talk to consider it one of the best Zelda games of all time. I kinda wish I'd voted for that instead of PH.
