I would have to say that your two best bets are Critter Crunch and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. Both games are fairly cheap, though Puzzle Fighter is versus whereas you can play co-op in Critter Crunch. I recommend these because my girlfriend who doesn't really play games has played many hours of these with me, specifically Critter Crunch.
I don't find it's as hard as some people say it is. Sure, the game is unforgiving, and not the easiest thing around, since you lose your souls if you die, then die before reaching your corpse. It depends what you consider difficult. I don't find it's thaaaaat hard...but I thought Mega Man 9 was easy, which a bunch of people complained to be difficult as well.
Yeah, there is no actual purpose to have them. It's just bragging rights, like the last guy said. People just whine about old games not having them because they need something to whine about.
I originally thought this was really hard, but it's actually mind-numbingly simple. All you need to do is shoot them once with any gun, but you have to punch them right after you shoot them, during the temporary stun. BASICALLY, the best solution is to find a spot where a bunch of enemies come in, and you just run in, fire one shot from the hip with a pistol and hit the melee button. I did the 10 or whatever in a row during the part pretty early in the game where you have Sully covering you with a sniper while you grab the documents, where all the enemies rush in after you.
All we could is hope. Someone asked Sucker Punch in an interview somewhere, and they said they just wanted to take a long break after Infamous, and didn't know what they'd be working on next. I really want them to release a Sly 4 though. That series was so amazing.
There's been no announcement as of yet. I know that Eternal Sonata, you had a couple of extra playable characters (that I never used except when required), and there was a couple of extra places (that didn't make too much of a difference) along with some new cutscenes to close up the story a bit better...and overall the game was quite a bit more difficult, and a bunch of items were moved around between the two versions. All in all, aside from a few minor differences, the game itself is still pretty similar. Even if it's not added in the original, the game should still be worth playing. I really enjoyed my playthrough of the PS3 version, and, I've talked to a few people who enjoyed it on the 360 as well.
