Actually...FFXIII isn't coming out on 360 in Japan. It's only North America, and I think Europe as well. I think 360s started selling more cause of Tales of Vesperia and such. For me, it would be the same news though, I guess. One of the biggest PS3 exclusives going over to 360.
Heh heh. We all have Final Fantasy related avatars. I hope you figure out the issue though. FFVIII was one of my favorites actually. Sadly, my fourth disc is messed up as well. When I was beating it on my PS2 a little while ago, it froze during the ending, and I'd never seen the ending before. I had to watch the ending on the internet. Oh man, I freaking owned Omega Weapon though :P
That really blows. That's right at the end of the game. Maybe your disc is dirty or scratched? I'm sure it would be posted as one of the issues otherwise.
I actually just tried the demo for the first time earlier today. Even though it's short, I may pick it up. I'm still thinking about it. The game seems like a ton of fun. The answer to your question is no, they aren't making a sequel. BUT...their new title for both the PS3 and 360 seems like it's going to have elements from the game, according to their main page. "Right now we're working on an exciting new concept that has got everyone we talk to buzzing. We can't say a lot except that it's going to be great to work on and should be even better to play! It'll take all the things we loved about Heavenly Sword and make them bigger and better than ever before."
Both are great games. You shouldn't buy R&C unless you've beaten ToD. It's a direct sequel, and only about 5 hours long. Honestly, I think Pixel Junk Monsters is the better deal. You'll probably get more bang for your buck there, especially if your into Tower Defense games. Also, playing with a friend/sibling is a blast. R&C isn't the type of game I would play over and over again. I'd probably beat it twice or so...Monsters, you could just pick up and play over again.
Yeah, actually....you should definitely play at least Final Fantasy VIII, and hopefully VI. IX is a hit and a miss for most, I find. I know some people who love it, some people who hate it.
