Talons can be buggers, but they are hardly threats in deathmatch games. They aren't capable of inflicting the mass damage the ground vehicles can without putting itself in the line of fire, and since its mega gun auto aim and energy regeneration got nerfed a while back, it became much less of a threat. They can still be a threat in team deathmatch since they are such buggers to kill, and sometimes people will troll in hunted by becoming the hunted and camping somewhere regular vehicles can't reach, but people are usually smart enough to realize Talons exist in games and to be aware of their tactics.

I'm in the process of uploading that video series I discussed earlier. Here's a link to the playlist.
Yeah, Reaper has been pretty controversial. In the hands of an experienced player, a Reaper can be extremely difficult to kill because of the fast energy regeneration that allow it to spam shields, and evade weapons since its so agile. Although a lot of people complain about the flamesaw, I think it's justified for the vehicle to have that strong of a special. What I think overpowers it more than anything is killstreaks, and how it grants a full energy after just two kills, and all kills following it. But then again, a Reaper in a newb's hands is nothing more than an easy kill/125 points, so personally I think it would be of any benefit to nerf it down.
I'll agree that there's certainly a few issues with balancing. Lately, it has been the general consensus that Sweet Tooth's flying ability, Shadow's coffin bomb blast radius, Junkyard Dog's turbo ram damage, and Roadkill's health buff from last patch are all overpowered. I actually main Death Warrant, which I have since release date, and it is considered by most to be on of the most underpowered vehicles in the game. There's been talk of at least one more update that will hopefully fix some of these issues, so I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers that they do get addressed.
True. Although the Twisted Metal community isn't very large, it's a very committed and connected group. It's a great fanbase to be a part of, and all things considered, it's filled with a lot of legitimately cool people. :)
Very awesome. I posted a video from the latest Twisted Metal a couple days ago, of a rather peculiar death I experienced against the most difficult AI. I have been working a series of videos beating ten AI on the hardest difficulty with no health semi, no sniper headshots, and no exploits. I've got all of the videos recorded, and just gotta edit them. Hopefully they'll be posted in the next couple of days, I'll post links to them when I upload them.
Like I say, honey badger is about as close as it gets. ;)
If you haven't yet, you must play the lost levels of Twisted Metal: Harbor City that were included in that game. It's such a shame that it was cancelled, a free roaming Twisted Metal would have been incredible. At least they released a few levels and a couple of new vehicles that could be played.
You should, it's worth it! When Twisted Metal was announced it was the push for me to get a PS3; I got mine the same year after the game was announced. That was 2010, and the game didn't come out until 2012 though, so I kinda wish I had waited until the next price drop since I didn't use it much in the time inbetween. But regardless, I would have forked over the cash for a PS3 if TM was all that it had, which is saying a lot since I'm a pretty thrifty person.
I've been playing single player as of late trying to kill ten AI enemies on twisted difficulty without using any exploits, but it has been no easy task. I've been at a disadvantage since I prefer the faster, lightly armoured vehicles which leave little room for error, but since the AI has inhuman ability to dish out massive damage with snipers, rat rockets, and other weapons, it's all about keeping on the move and picking vehicles off one by one. This is a difficult task since all the enemies target only you, but if you can target vehicles individually it makes it a far easier task. I've done it on a number of the maps so far; thinking of recording myself doing it and perhaps putting it on YouTube since nobody has ever done it.
