[QUOTE="inertk"] Hints? Great, the fact characters can sprint now might hint at some larger maps too. Avalanche could also house more players. Mostly I'd like more players as it *could* encourage some actual team play in Halo, mostly people are split up. (I'm guilty of this, but that's because I actually go for the objectives and you know, don't suck?) Especially in objective games. I don't see a point for a squad system, but it could add a tad more diversity, to an already diverse shooter. Given that it works well, typically most people stick to 4v4 since the maps are built around this size -- there's nothing to say they couldn't make some larger maps. I guess I'll get to the point of the thread though. I'm not really gushing over this, I remember a PS2 musou-type game that had at least 1000 AI at once -- was completely idiotic though. Plus Gears 2 also claimed a lot about Epic scale but as it turns out the 30-40 or so Locust just ended up running in formation completely pointless apart from being part of the background. Although, they could pull off something amazing with this if it bears any fruit. I personally found a lot of the large scale scenes to be quite lacking in Halo because they came across as quite barren, especially the scarab scenes. Couple hundred enemies/allies could definitely up the intensity. :) P.S. I know I'm quite negative about Halo, I just stopped listening to pre-release hype from Bungie. That and I'm pretty critical of the series primarily because of how much I've played it and love it -- it's hard to explain.

1. Console gamers rarely use teamwork. No, I'm not a PC elitist, in fact I don't even play on PC. 2. If you want to play Halo and you want teamwork, I suggest you play ranked, and get up to a high level. If you're playing social, you'll get people who care even less about teamwork. I'm hoping for some bigger playlists as well, but not for the reasons everyone else wants them.

Nonsense. 2.1 K/D in MW2 and 3.5 K/D in BFBC2 demo. BFBC2 is so much easier for me to play, because I don't die from one toe shot. It's amazing knowing I'm not held back by piss poor game design just to cater to 12 year olds.

Seriously? When I asked, 100% of the people didn't know what a 360 was. It's unbelievable. I know I have no proof but take my word plz!

[QUOTE="RipaX21"][QUOTE="N7Sovereign"]Care Package and Emergency Airdrop don't count. I don't believe Pavelow counts either. I called in my Harrier, then my Pavelow and was on a 17 killstreak. My last killstreak was AC-130, and I used Hardline as Perk 2. My Pavelow also never counted towards my EMP on my previous gamertag.

I didn't know anyone actually used EMP, impressive. Anyway, anything that gets dropped in a box doesn't count towards killstreaks and Pavelows sometimes do? Yeah, I think that's about right.

What's wrong with an EMP? I don't use it all the time, only when I'm "in the zone" because I'm not the type of person to camp for my killstreaks. I run around with my FAL, so if I don't feel my aim is on point I won't use it. It's great though, because unlike most people I don't use it as soon as I get it. I'm constantly looking at the scoreboard, so when I see one or two people nearing a 7+ killstreak, I call it in. It ends their killstreak and makes them start over, so it comes in handy when my team isn't as smart and keeps running back to the same spot they died at, helping the opponents build their killstreak.

I think they're REALLY trying considering they're releasing a beta.orb_03_2006
You are aware that both Halo 2 and Halo 3 had betas right? Despite what people think, each Halo plays differently. They never made any major changes to the formula but they did add minor changes which makes each game feel different. You can't play Halo CE the same way you would play Halo 2, and you can't play Halo 2 the same way you would play Halo 3.

[QUOTE="PAL360"]

That would mean 400 AIs when played splitcreen coop :o:P

ZoomZoom2490
and yet they cant build an engine that supports more than 16 players online.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe they don't want more than 16 players at a time? It couldn't possibly be a design choice. Nope..not at all.

It's cute how Mass Effect 2 got rid of all the boring, monotonous gameplay elements so therefore it's a pure third person shooter. Get over yourselves, seriously.

You listed three or four multiplatform games, leaving off a lot which look better than the exclusives you list.
