I made a cartoon

For the past few days, I've been using my time to create a short cartoon, and now it's finally finished! It is a Lord of the Rings parody, with a Harry Potter twist in it. It's only about a minute long, but I worked pretty hard on it. It's on Youtube under the name: "LOTR Shorts".My account there is NailBail as well. Eventually I'll also put it on Gamespot. After a little break, I might make a sequel.Enjoy!

Summer Update #2

Well it's Saturday, August 4th, and I have just got back from my family vacation, and I can say it was pretty good. For future reference, will go into as much detail as I can give.

I got up on Sunday 29th around 6:00 in the morning, and since I already packed the previous day, I was ready to hit the road. We finally left the house around 8:00, and with my cd's I brought, the time passed quickly and before I knew it, we were crossing the U.S border to Detroit. We didn't stay there for long though, only for a quick pit stop.We were in Michigan only for a few hours, and we made it to our first destination: Sandusky, Ohio. It was a little confusing getting to our Hotel, because we aren't used to the U.S 's road rules, which are different to our own. Eventually though, we checked in, unpacked, and found a map to the area's main attraction: Cedar Point! The place is really cool, with about 17 coasters and other neat rides. We stayed around the area for four more days, and I'm pleased to say that I went on every big coaster there. On Wednesday, after our last visit to the park, we drove until we made it to Erie , Pennsilvania. After searching about 9 Inns, we finally found one with avaible rooms, which is good, because at that moment our car stalled and then completely died. We had to call a tow truck to take it to the nearest auto shop, which luckily was only bout a mile away. It didn't take long to find the problem ( some wires fell out of place and melted, which short circuited the car, causing it to die. We were told that we were very lucky that the car's computer didn't get damaged), and before the day was done, the car was fixed $700 dollars later. It didn't take long to get back to the Canadian border and on Thusday we were in Niagra falls. We stayed there for two nights so we can watch the fireworks on Friday, and now I'm back.

I would also like to say that it is now my 1 year anniversary here on Gamespot. Yay me!

Summer update #1

Hey people! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer holidays! Just to say,I really doubt weather or not anyone bothers to read my blog anymore,so one of the few reasons I will still write here is because I'll be able to look back at this in the future (if I even remember it still exists) as a kind of journal, and I'll be able to rememberdid during the time I write in here.

Anyway, I am happy to say that I have found a job for the summer, so that I can keep up with the new releases that are to come up in the next few months, such as halo 3, metroid prime 3, resident evil 5 etc. This means that I do plan on buying a wii (friends, rejoice!). I also plan on buying a laptop, but let's juststart withone at a time, as the old saying goes : "Don't count your eggs before they hatch" or something like that.

I am also looking forward to the final installment of Harry Potter, which I am a big fan of the series. The final book releases July 21st, so I can't wait. E3 looks like they're bringing a lot of new stuff for us, and I can hardly keep track of what's going on. I will try and make regular visits to see all these new updates, but I'm not promising anything.

Summer holidays at last!

Hey everyone! I hope you are all enjoying that fantastic summer heat outside! All this sunlight outside has reminded me how similar Super mario: Sunshine is, with it's sun filled, relaxing levels. It makes me just want to walk down to the nearest beach (which, sadly is a long way away) and sit in the sun.

Thankfully, my exams are over, which means I'm officially done Grade 10. I'd say I did rather well on them, although I'll admit that I could have done with a bit more studying. I should get the results within a few weeks.

Last Monday, after my exams, as my reward for decent marks in school my dad took me to write my G1 driving test. I am happy to say that I passed with flying colours. I can now drive under conditions, such as having a fully licinced person in the vehicle. I now have to wait a full year to take my G2, which will allow me to drive by myself.

That'sall I have to sayfor now. Enjoy the heat people!

Huge relief

Well, as of today, I am officially caught up on all of my schoolwork. Every presentation, essay and project, handed in and done with. It feels great!:D The only thing between me and summer break are my exams, which are about a week from now.

As of today, I am putting my job hunting on overdrive. No more clowning around for me! I'm not going togive up until I have ajob. I know I said I was relieved to be layed off of my last job (I absolutly hated it), but now my need for cash is kicking in again.I started printing off many copies of my resume, and I'm going around collecting applications from anywhere I can. Onething different this time around: I have a goal. With my last job, I wanted the work just for the sake of working; I wasn't really hyped about it. But now, I'm hyped about owning a car, so I had a change of heart, and I'm pumped for work.

But enough about that. Last week, Wonderland was fun, especially since my friends were there. All the rides there were great, and I went on two roller coasters that I never went on before. The trip wasn't as great as planned though, as a lot of my friends got dizzy after only a few rides,so we had to wait a while for them to cool off. I will tell you now... I chickened out of the "Skyfyer" ride (check the previous blog for details). I took one look at it and said : "Nope". I guess I'm not as brave as I thought:P Here's what it looks like when I ride a typicalroller coaster:

I'm sitting in the coaster, It hasn't moved yet :  (There's nothing to worry about. This ride is laughable!)

Coaster starts to move, I see theslope : :) (This'll befun. I betIt'll be more thrilling than a scary movie!)

The coaster starts to incline the slope: 8) (I can do this, I'm the MAN!)

The coaster is halfway up the slope : :? (I don't remember the slope being THIS high!)

It's almost at the top, I see the track end : :( (I'm starting to have second thought's about this)

The ride's at the top. I can barely see the bottom : (Oh..my...God...)

The ride goes down the vertical drop ::cry: (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!)

Throughout the rest of the track ::o (wOw..ThIs rIDe...Is... vvvvveerrry..ShAky!)

The ride ends : :|... (...I want go again)

Hope you all enjoyed that;).Until next time, talk you all later!

Going to wonderland + other things

Hello my fellow gamespotters. How has everyone been doing? Hopefully well, and I can say the same for myself. I am mostly caught up in school work, and I only need to do 2 presentations next week before I am free of school (until exams, that is). I hall give you an update before I talk about my wonderland trip:

  - After about 6 months of owning it, I have finally sat down and finished Doom 3. It was awesome. Shame they won't make another one ( I'm pretty sure that's what the company said)

  - I have finished Twilight Princess. I thought it was cool, but it had a confusing storyline. See my review for details.

  - I was sick during the weekend of May 25-27. I became very dilerious, and for all of Friday night I thought I was participating in World war 2 (I think I was actually writting Schindler's list...). I am fine now :)

  - I saw Pirates of the Caribean 3, and I thought it was pretty good. It was a bit confusing, and some of it made no sense at all, but the action scenes were well done. All in all, the first one was best.

  - I have recently started playing NFS: Most Wanted again, and it got me thinking of what car I might want to buy. I think I might want to buy a Lancer Evolution viii, or a Lotus Elise, or maybe even a Mustang... (keeps thinking of cars he could never afford).

Tomorrow, my math class and I will be going to Wonderland for a school field trip. For those of you unaware, Wonderland is an amusement park in Toronto. It's pretty big, with 64 rides or so ( I know it's nothing compared to six flags or similar, but it's the closest thing I got). I'm a little nervous, because I agreed to go with my friends on a ride called " Xtreme SkyFlyer", where they put you in a harnest and pull you up about 170 feet in the air... and then drop you. It is Canada's largest free fall swing, with speeds reaching over 100 km/hr, so no pressure:roll:

That wrap's it all up for me.Talk to you all in the summer. Till then, See ya!

Yes...I'm alive

Hello everyone. For those of you who forgot, I am NailBail, and I used to come to this site and blog quite frequently. As you may have noticed, I have not been active for a good month or so, and I apoligize to each of you for not commenting. I have reasons of why I have been absent, which I will share with you now.

Since the school year is coming to a close, more and more assignments have been piled onto my work load, and these are bigger priorities than visiting this site and commenting your blogs and such. I have an english assignment, of which I have to read a book (I chose "Around the World in 80 days". It is a very good book and I recommend it to all) and then write ten summary sheets about the plot, followed by an essay. In history, I have to make a poster about world war 2, along with a time line on the major events that occured.

I have also borrowed "Twilight Princess" from a friend, so I finally got a chance to play it. Mostly, besides doing homework, I have been playng it, trying to complete it quickly so that I can return it sooner. I recently just beaten the game, which allows me enough time to write this blog. I will write a review for it...eventually.

I apoligize once again for all the blogs/ stories I might have missed, and I can assure you that when the summer break is finally here, I shall be more active, and to make up for time lost. If you wish, tell me of some news that has happened to you and I will hopefully be back soon to comment.

Private joke of today is :  " I have a watch you know!"

New Job opportunities

As the summer inches nearer and nearer to us, I decided that it would be good to start looking for a job again. Last week, I handed out a few resumes to a bunch of stores near me. After only a weeks wait, I got a call from one of the stores: Canadian Tire. For those of you who don't know, it is basically a tool shop, where you buy appliances, equipment and other things. I just took the first interview a few hours ago, and I think I did very well. I await their response, and hope I make it to the job. Wish me Luck! ;)

In other news, next Friday I will be going to a Romeo and Juliet play with my English class. It should be quite interesting, as this will be my first Shakespeare play that I have attended. Also at school, I have found out that I actually enjoy the subject, Civics. I like to have debates and see peoples opinions on politics. I know most people think that it's boring, but it's important to know some of this stuff. Who knows? maybe I'll be Prime Minister of Canada one day :P.

Some funny things

Some funny  things have happened these past few days, and being the person that I am, I will share my stories with you all. Aren't you guys lucky ?;)

A few days ago, I was walking home from my friends house, and I saw a some kids outside. I knew a few of them ( one them we named "Squirrly"), so I stopped to say hi. As I was talking to my fellow comrades, I noticed these two little kids fighting one another. I decided not to intervine, thinking that they were just playing. A few seconds later though, one of them got hurt, and ran into their house crying. Another few seconds later, this very elderly lady walked out of the house, and I could tell she was pissed. She walks across the street to where we were standing, and she looks at the little one who just hurt the other kid. She had a scraggly, croaky voice, if you can imagine, and this what she said (er..yelled actually) :

"Hey, you!" (little kid looks up). "What do you think youre doing? How would you like it if one of these bigger kids did that to you? " ( little kid looks down in shame). "Answer me!" ( little kid starts to cry, I start to giggle. Hearing this old lady yell at a six year old was one of the funniest things i've seen in a while). "What's wrong with you?" (this made me snicker out loud, though I don't think the lady noticed. A lot of my friends started to giggle too). "You're a bully." ( old lady walks off, kids crying out loud, and I'm walking home with a grin on my face) :)

.....Does laughing at this child's misfortune make me a bad person? Anyway...

Earlier today, after school I was waiting for my bus to go home ( same as any other day). Unlike any other day though, the bus didn't show up.:? I waited for fifteen minutes, to make sure it wasn't just late. So, I walked with my friend to a different bus stop, and started to wait for a different bus. I noticed though, that there was about 25 people at this stop ( school did just let out, after all), which made me realized I probibly wouldn't get a seat on the bus, so I walked up the road to the earlier bus stop. This stop also had quite a few people, so I walked more up the street to the bus stop that had nobody there. I waited ten minutes before the bus arrived and I couldn't believed what I saw. The whole bus was jam packed! I would guess there was about 40 people on, and I barely squeezed in the front. I was right up against the windshield, but I was smiling, because the look on all the peoples faces from the previous bus stops when they were told they couldn't come on were priceless. They would all have to wait another 15-30 minutes for another bus, while I enjoyed the view from the very, very front of the bus.

Well, I hoped you all liked my story. Other than those things listed above, nothing can be updated... other than I got an 86%  average on my mid-term. :D:D:D

That's it. Until next time,     NailBail

A dark side in all of us? ( topic blog )

I've been wondering for some time now( though I havn't told anybody), if everyone has a darker side within themselves. If we have something sort of like a Gollum to your Smeagol, or a Darth Vader to your Anakin Skywalker. Is it the choices you make in life that can make someone evil? Or is someone just born to cause despair and dismay?

Sometimes, I feel like I want to cause hurt, whether it be for revenge or somebody ticks me off, and it even scares me sometimes. I have enough common sence and logic so that I don't actually do anything harmful, but I sometimes ponder if maybe one day I can't keep it inside me and I end up injuring someone, or worse. The weirdest thing is, I'm a genually peaceful person, and in my whole life I only ever punch one person ( believe me though, they had it coming). Only lately have I been feeling a lot more violent and destructive than usual. Are people just naturally violent? Is it influential? Might it even be genetic? I would really like to hear your views of this matter.
