[QUOTE="kraken2109"]

Nice brag thread.

I hope you have some decent headphones with that sound card.

[QUOTE="Jobesky123"]1080p. I felt getting 2 of those would be a good idea to max everything and still have 60 FPS, since the human eye cannot tell the difference any higher.

Jobesky123

Oh god.

Sennheiser HD 555's.

And many people have said that aobut the human eye. It isn't true?

1) No it isn't true

2) higher fps isn't about what your eye can detect. It is about eliminating input lag. The higher the fps it runs the less cycles it takes for the game to react to your movements.

[QUOTE="Iantheone"][QUOTE="Gambler_3"]Many people dont consider them "single cards". They have all the drawbacks of SLI/CF and sometimes even worse.

Gambler_3

One card bought, one PCI-e slot occupied. Its a single slot card. Anyway, I would have to say that I prefer AMD, but I upgraded to a 570 because the shop I normally buy from had a 6970 something like $40NZD more expensive, so I though F that and got a nice 570 with an aftermarket cooler.

Yes AMD never got the pricing of the 6970 right. AMD pretended it's faster than 6970 when it really wasnt.

yeah ok

So it will make me lose performance? It was free so its no big deal unless it really degrades performance that bad. Should I seriously go to a 8G?Xerxcuss

Stick with 3G, anything higher just drains your batteries.

Well, from what I gathered from the interwebs, the GeForce 6600 uses PCI Express x16. So since that's what my current video card is, then I suppose my CPU has PCI.

InchunKim

Well you are in for a shock. I have a 6600GT in an athlon 64 system and it is using AGP.

So you better check before you buy a pcie card you can't use.

BTW if it is AGP there aren't a whole lot of cards out there that are worth the cash and better than a 6600GT agp.

[QUOTE="V4LENT1NE"]

[QUOTE="Gambler_3"]But GTX 280 was far superior to 4870...

Gambler_3

Never said it wasnt....I didnt have the money for the GTX280 at the time, it was more expensive in the UK, I had to pick between the 260 and the 4870. I said I buy the best single card at the time, that is the best single card for me at the time and my wallet. I only got the 580 because I had the money for it.

I understand that but I said it cuz you said you buy whatever best single card there is so I thought I'll point out. :P

Do you have a pci-e 16x slot or agp slot?

That is very important.
