[QUOTE="bonafidetk"]Troll topic? No one could possibly believe Two Worlds 2 looks better than The Witcher 2.cooloutac

have u played both? do you have a dx 11 card on the highest settings? i think your the real troll my friend hahah.

not only does two worlds II run 10 times better. it looks great... and does not look as old and cartoony like the witcher 2 does. The witcher 2's cinematics look way way better then the game play. well in two worlds II. the game play looks like exactly like cinematics, you can't tell them apart. and the gameplay is a constant 60 fps with absolutely NO MICRO STUTTER... on top of looking so good.

if your only buying a rpg game for the latest graphics, and to have a fully emersing 3d open world enviornment. go with two worlds II.

If you don't care about graphics fps performance, or gameplay being very console like with small linear maps. go with the witcher 2.

the witcher 2 does everything else better. But i, myself, can't get past the fact its the most linear game i've played. and it looks and runs like such crap. From a pc gamers standpoint, these are the main reasons people spend alot of money on new hardware. and just like crysis 2. another company who is not even utilizing dx10 and it absolutely shows.

I have to agree with this post, I love the TW2 but its not as great as people make it out to be; I have not played 2w2 but have seen gameplay and the environments are huge. As for the TW2 its easy to make your game look pretty when its linear has hell, in fact the linearity of it was its biggest flaw to me, I like rpgs with large areas I can explore and backtrack too.

But what about d2d and just regular brick and mortar establisments, why are they only targetting steam. I would rather just buy a boxed edition than having 2 steam like programs running on my pc.

My theory is valve is waiting for the next wave of consoles before they release half life 3, they want to make an awesome game with an even more awesome new generation engine but there is no point if current consoles will bottleneck it.

It just seems like that and I can't find any solid reason.

Before peopel say they want to cutout the steam middleman, why is BF3 available for preorder on d2d but not steam, and arent all retail stores middlemen cutting EA? I have a feeling origins will fail, it only offers EA games which is 1 major reason and steam sucked in the beginning too and it took years for it to become what it is today, why would someone invest in a new service while steam is already a solid service and polished. Im not saying EA should not release origins cause they have the right to compete, but restricting their games from steam seems silly.

Disagree. Witcher 2 had a better story and character driven game. Those are traits of JRPGs, not WRPGs. In a WRPG, I want the choice and freedom to be what I want, go where I want, and do what I want. Witcher 2 forces me to be a witcher. I can't wear plate armour. I can't use shields. And it's a linear corridor rpg disguised to look like there are tons of exploration to be done. It fails in all those aspects.

Witcher 2 is a great game. But not entirely what i usually look for in WRPGs. I want the story to revolve around me, not some pre-determined protagonist.

This I loved the game but it was a very linear corridor rpg and you cant really customize your character, their not the same games at all

Im a hermit and I will be honest stalker with the complete mod does not look that great

It may look better than black ops but it doesnt look better than mw2

To me the game has terrible character models, animation, terrain texture; the game also looks very inconsistent at times for example the game looks marvelous next to a light source but very ugly without one.

- Game Of Thrones Genesis

Kinthalis

Wow there is a game of thrones strategy game coming out thats awesome. However after looking at some screens im not sure what to make of it. Too bad Creative Assembly didnt handle it, it seems like they would have nailed it.
