Hi my friends!

Im back! Been away from my lovely computer for well over a week now... This move has been super sucky! My crap still isnt all unpacked... I cant relax until everythink is tidy... Im very particular. So I havent played my 360 in like 2 weeks... I miss Final Fantasy but until my gaming room (bedroom :P) is fixed up... I just cant play. My Nintendo DS is my savior, I can play it anywhere. Yay!! So ive been slowly unpacking, cleaning and playing lots of DS :P Wooo!

GOD OF WAR III IS AMAZING!!! (i did play that though :P)

I have Pokemon on the brain... I was playing one of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games earlier (love those!) and the questionare at the beginning said im a Psyduck... Oh wow... Its so right!! Im a psyduck...

I finally saw Ponyo!!! I LOVED IT!!! Hayao Miyazaki is such a genius... He has yet to make a movie that I havent just enjoyed so much. Same as Quentin Tarantino. Two best Directors ever! James Cameron can suck it :P

Hi all!

Im packing up to move! Yay! And while doing so I got a good hard look at my (very great!!!) video game collection. And what it really got me thinking was how much these boxes of games had cost me throughout the years... Not something I really like to think about at all :P

One of the questions I found myself asking was. Are games worth there brand spanking new price tag? Is it better to wait 6 months, or more, to keep money in your wallet?I dont know about you. But for a game to be worth $60 it has to fit a certain criteria.

• Long! (like over 40 hours, hopefully more)
• Fun!!!
• Content! (loaded with stuff to do!)
• replay value!!
• I better remember it forever :P

In my opinion. Games in general, in my opinion, are not worth the prices given.

While Online content can keep a game fresh. Just add up how much more you are spending!!!

Lets take Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360 for example.

Fallout 3 came out at $60. Later,two explansions released (Operation Anchorage and The Pitt) to buy them both, $20 more dollars. Then after that, two more expansions, (point Lookout and Broken Steel) another $20 THEN one more (Mothership Zeta) $10 more dollars. Lets add it up... To get the full Fallout 3 experience ... it costs:

$110!!!! What? Thats crazy!!! Its a great game but guess what came out!!! Thank you Bethesda. A Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition... All expansions included and full game... $60. Just a year after Fallout 3s release... One could have saved $50 just waiting...

Madden!

The madden franchise is another one of those series that could just be waited on!! Lets all see how much Madden 2009 is on average *goes to look* ONLY $10 brand new!!! I get that people like there football... But a new madden come out every year so the others just plummit in price! Is sad really... Not to mention, its the same f**king game every year with updated rosters... ooooo :o

Now, Im not saying that everyone should wait all the time til a game has a price drop! Not at all! I just feel that everyone should be pleased with what they spend there har earned dollars on :D You should buy a new release, pop it in, and just be so happy! You know? Be glad you spent the money!

I cant tell you how many times ive just felt sad and disappointed. You know? Here is one that killed me... Brutal Legend... Short, no replay value... so sad. I would have gladly paid $30... I feel like thats what its worth. Devil May Cry 4... I love DMC!!! But i paid $90 for the collectors edition... The game was short, the anime sucked, and the extra dvd was soooo lame! Uh! ... and many many others... :(

Also! DS games: Square Enix prices there titles New on DS (here in America anyway) at $40!!!! While Nintendo prices there new mario titles and stuff at $35! Why does Square get to do that!!? Thats wrong to me! DS game should be standard at $30 like most are... stupid Square Enix... (I love FF 13 :D)

Games that were worth what I paid!!!!

Dark Sector, I bought it last year for like $8. It was soooooo worth it!!! :P It really was a sweet game! I felt even happier that it was $8, hehe

Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts... This is probably my number one happiest brand new purchase on my 360. :D It was only $40 new. The DLC was only $5. And its sooooo fun! Endless hours of building, fun challenges... and it has online (which nobody is ever on...) but is still cool!

I feel like this is just one super rant, and for that, i am not sorry... My thoughts just spill out and i type them... so please dont expect an order... :P

Oh... Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition... I want. Its packed with goodness!! An since I dont have RE5 anymore, itll be woth the moneys!! :D

I feel like Final Fantasy will take a very long time to beat... :D I just got Odin!! Awesome sauce!!!

Anyway...

Have you guys ever paid too much for a game that you didny feel was worth it? Do youfeel like some games just shouldnt be $60 starting price? Why the f**k doues Square Enix ($40)get to price there DS games higher than Nintendo($35)!?

Hi everyone!!!

I want to start off with how I was happy to get sooooo many responses on my last blog!!! Thank you to all who gave me some positive feedback! Now on with one big super blog about Final Fantasy XIII!!!! Woooo!!!

First of all. I read the Gamespot review for it... Can disliking a character be a negative?... I really like Vanille! Shes like the happiest one in the bunch!!! I love that about her! SO... Icon change! Ha! Vanille! Shes not annoying... Ill tell you annoying! Hope!! Ugh! I really am not a fan... Hes so blah... Oh well... On to...

Battle System!

Sweet!!! Its so fun and fast paced!

I must say I dont like being rated at the end of battle... I get alittle mad if i dont get 5 stars... But its definetly no biggie.

I cant describe the battles... Im happy they arent random. I think we are beyond random battles in this day and time :P

In the future! Weapons will fold up after battle so you can put them in your pocket!! :P

Uh...

Story is pretty ok so far. As far as characters ...I like Lightning... she just seems so mean right now... Surley she'll cheer up a bit. Hope is still stupid. Vanille is fun. Snow, i like more than I thought i would. And Sazh has a BABY CHOCOBO!!! I love it!!!! And there is one more character who looks pretty bad ass, but I havent met her yet :D

Oh! Leveling up!

You dont level up, but each character gets THERE OWN crystal grid thing, You use CP points from battle to spend the points on new skills and HP ups and stuff like that. Its soooooo much better than the stupid ass sphere grid from Final Fantasy X. Mostly because each characters skills and abilitys are specific to them. Its so cool!

I feel like im just rambling on about trandom stuff... I guess I dont have too much to say since I really am not that far... only like 4 hrs... :P

Its a beautiful game too :P

Well... I guess thats all for now. Hope you all that got it are also enjoying it very much. Im very happy to say im liking it way more than i thought i would :D

Hi all!

I picked up Valkyria Chronicles the other day for my PS3 and I LOVE IT!!! Thank you Darkman2007 for telling me how good this game is! Its so unlike anything else I have ever played. The art sttyle is AMAZING and the battles are soooooo fun!! I recommend this game to anyone looking for a different take on the strategy genre! :D

Also, Valkyria Chronicles 2 is coming out on PSP... I have a PSP but id like for this game to be on the PS3... I want the gorgeous graphics and stuff... Oh well...

10. SORRY!!! Final Fantasy VII!

I didnt like it... I didnt like Cloud as a main character and it just never held my interest... I know its like the favorite of the Final Fantasy series... I just dont see why. I personally felt that Final Fantasy VI had a better story and characters. Kefka was way badder than Sephiroth and Terra was a better main character than Cloud ... Dont get me wrong! It is a good game!!! Best in series? Nah!

9. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

I want to start by saying I LOVE THIS GAME!!! I am not at all saying that this game is one I didnt like... Its overrated is all. In my opinion, i dont at all think that this is the best Zelda game. In fact, its one of the most frustrating ones ive played... I liked almost all the other ones better. almost :P Its a great game, dont get me wrong. best? No... Wind Waker is :P

8. Mass Effect

I liked this one too... but I didnt LOVE it. Im going to wait on MAss Effect 2... Ill wait til its $20. There was too much about this game I didnt like.

7. New Super Mario Bros. (Wii)

Calm down people, its just Mario. Yeah, its fun and cute... But the sales on this game are outrageous!!! Overrated? Hell yeah! Too sell as many copies as it did, and be so average is sickening! Nintendo are pure grade A genius!

6. Final Fantasy X

I f**king hate this game ... and its the only one that got a direct sequel... what!? And a f**king stupid sequel at that... Sorry FFX fans ... Tidus sucks!

5. Grand Theft Auto IV

Again, it was good. Just wasnt the best in series... I was expecting it to be like a super updated San Andreas and it was more of an updated GTA III... They took out sooooo much of the cool stuff San Andreas had!! Plus with Saints Row already out, I felt that they were trying to compete and took some of Saints Row features... Oh well

4. Guitar Hero/ Rock Band

At first, these music games were soooooo cool! I couldnt get enough! Now... its like 3 or 4 more come out each yeah and new somgs are available for download every day.... sucking peoples money righ out of there pockets... Guitar Hero Van Halen?! Really?! Was some one asking for that?! You want to be in a band? Start one in real life! :P

3. World of Warcraft

I like MMOs... I do. But people PAY MONEY TO PLAY THIS!!?? Im sure its fun with friends... But so is going outside and playing Football or something... free. I downloaded the free 10 day trial because a friend was like "You gotta play it, its awesome! Blahhhh." So i did... Ive played better free MMOs... I was so unimpressed... Guild Wars is way better. Ha!!! Maybe ill try it agoin some day... right now... Its overrated :P

2. (No surprise to you guys!) Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Im not even going to say anything about this game.... All you regular readers already know :P

1. HALO (series)

I left the last for the most overrated series ever!! Ha ha! Master Cheif is an emotionless, hollow nothing of a character. The gameplay is ... well its a sci-fi shooter... Multi-player is ANNOYING because people cheat and dont care! I hate you Halo! I hope you die!! Red vs. Blue is a real funny little show though :P

Hello again my fellow Gamespotians!! ( I like that) How are you all?

I want to beging this short blog with my first impressions of Heavy Rain! AWESOME!!!!!!!! I have put maybe 6 or 7 hrs into it and its one of the greatest gaming experiences today. The story is so interesting and cool. I like all the characters though except for the chick. Though, I LOVED her apaprment layout. I was like "I want a city apartment like this" Anyway, I feel like she isnt important to the story and in the way of me finding out whats really going on ... But Im not far into her story segments. I havent done much so Id love to see where this goes. Anyway, Interactive Drama is definetly the way to describe this game. And the quick button presses, quick desicions and fights are just so cool!! Im not going to tell about any ... I dont want to spoil it :P

A very small rant about narrow minded idiots!

I was happy to see that everyone liked my last rant. So here is one that is a bit more ... uh ... Very much my opinon.

People who dont like Borderlands art stylle are narrow minded idiots who cant apprecitate anything new or different!!!! I personally loved the fact that Borderlands looks different and isnt "just another shooter" Im glad it doesnt try and look like Call of Duty and other generic stupid FPSs. I hear it alot at work and it makes my blood boil! I just wanna punch people that say it. Grrrr! Also, Call of Duty MW2 I find to be the MOST OVERRATED GAMER EVER! !! Next to FFX and FFVII :P

Speaking of one of my favorite games EVER Borderlands. NEW DLC!!! And the level cap increases by 11! How funny (a Spinal Tap refrence) !! So now your max level is 61! Yay!

Im currently playing Wild Arms 1, I bought it off PSN for $5.99, on my PSP and I LOVE it!!! I didnt think I would like this series but I really do! I then bought Wild Arms 3, 4 (really wanna play), and 5!! Hehe. Im only missing 2. And ill just buy that on PSN too :P and try to find a hard copy later

Hi! Whats up Gamespotians? :P

I want to first start off (before I rant about something thats been bugging me) by saying that the weather where I live has been TERRIBLE!!! I live in Kentucky (I HATE IT!!) USA... And the last month has been like one of the worst months for weather here in my opinion! Its been snowing like 2 inches, raining on top of that, freezing, melting alittle, freezing again, snowing on top of that, raining, snowing, raining, snowing ... uh! Its sooooo gross outside! I want to take my daughter to the park! And I cant! I hate it ...

My RANT!! - Something I hate hearing people say:

"The game looked real good, but it got bad reviews so im not going to play it."

...

Thats probably one of my most hated things to hear. Its just so stupid. I dont get why somebodys else opinion of a game can keep a person from trying out something they thought they would like. Its like food ...

Here is a small fake conversation:

PERSON A: "Mmmm, I love cake, and this cupcakes looks so good! I think ill eat one!"

PERSON B: "Nah, I dont like cake, and I tried these cupcakes andthey aregross"

PERSON A: "Oh, well I better not eat it!"

... See how stupid ... Thats the same way with games. I love love love the Silent Hill series and a not so great review is going to keep me from playing Silent Hill Homecoming... (which I bought on release day :P) for example

I had this problem with Final Fantasy XIII, I almost let what peope were saying about it affect my decision to get it!

There are exceptions though, like if a game is like almost so bad that its unplayable and broken like Damnation and Rouge Warrior. Those games got bad reviews because they deserved it. But normally its stuff like "The levels were blah," and "the controls werent to my liking" or "didnt like the story" Thats All OPINION!! Right?

THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN TELL ME IF A GAME IS GOOD OR NOT IS ... ME!!! So everyone, make your own choices :P

And Im not saying that I dont listen to reviews, I read them to get ideas on a game and to find out what people thought. Its just not going to affect me getting a game ... Rant over

Im going to start and talk first about this new manga I got. I just released in the US i do believe only like a couple of weeks ago, so its fairly new. Its calles Alice in the Country of Hearts. It another take on the classic Alices Adventures in Wonderland tale I love so much. Here is the cover for Volume 1:

Its really good. I also bought Zombie Loan Volume 8 ... Its probably one of my favorite manga ever :P I also managed to find a copy of the Kingdom Hearts manga for only $1! Yay! Those are so hard to find cheap so I was happy :D

Anime!

Today, since im in a very "Alice in Wonderland" mood. I stared watching this anime I stumbled across called Pandora Hearts.

Its amazing! here is a pic

It has lots of cool characters. A dark story. Its funny and mysterious. I recommend! :D

Also, I Have been mostly playing FF Tactics A2 and Atelier Iris. Woo!

Also, If you all like hack and slash action games, I highly recommend Darkisders. Its really good. War is so cool and the story is really neat.

Im not happy about the pregnant part though ... it sucks... its gonna be an uncomfortable 9 months. But its worth it. Because my family will be done. Im getting fixed after this baby. :P No more for Nick and I. Also, we will be getting married soon :D Yay!

Hello! I have missed Gamespot!

Its not like I didnt have internet or my computer, I just have had to work long shifts the past 4 days and when I get home I want to relax and play games.

Speaking of games, I got a PS3! I know I told you all I was gonna get one. Add me as a friend! My PSN ID is PoizonCupcake ... I got Little Big Planet and MAG... Soon to get White Knight Chronicles as soon as I can get a used copy at work. Demon Souls too :P

HEAVY RAIN DEMO!!!!! If you have a Playstation 3 and havent yey downloaed this demo go do it right now!! Dont even finish reading this blog ... Uh, well please finish this blog, id like that. Anyway, thedemo is SOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Ill say one thing, you have to know that playstation controller inside and out :P Its a super unique and amazing game. Its absolutly gorgeous. Im going to pre order it because if you do you get an extra chapter or something. Anyway, its amazing. Oh, The reason, and you all may not have known this, the reason I am so so excited about Heavy Rain is... I LOVE SERIAL KILLER STORIES!!! Condemned (1 and 2) are like some of my favorite games ever. And Heavy Rain, based on the demo, is going to be even better than that! Again, I love Serial Killer stores. I have a book I love, Its The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers... Its super facinating ... Uh... that sounded crazy didnt it?...

Atelier Iris! I just recently, like a couple of days ago got all 3 Aterlier Iris games on my great PS2. I also gor Atelier Annie on DS which is super awesome. Amyway, The Atelier Iris series is sooo good! I love it! Im going to go on and say the Atelier series is one of my favorite RPG series. I can find no fault really, I like the characters, settting, freedom, alchemy synthesis, everything ... :D Oh, and they are super cute!!! Here are some cute Atelier Iris pics! ... and I may change my avy pic ... may ...

Uh... Uh... Oh! I re-pre ordered Final Fantasy XIII! I really did some research and you know what? This is gonna be a great game! I dont know why I have just beeen doubting it so. If I think it looks awesome, then I am going to play it! I have too! If im disappointed, oh well. Ill be happy I made my own opinion instead of going off what someone else said. Right?

This little Panda loves you all!

I fixed my TV!!! Finally I can stand to play my 360 :P So Last night I played a bit more of Bayonetta! Its so awesome! So full od sttyle and bad assness! Its so great! I plan on reviewing it after I beat it, and I want you all to read it :P

I also purchased Darksiders. Its also awesome! I read in a review *coug* Gameinformer *cough* that it compared to Zelda ... What? No way. It's so much like God of War that it hurts. I dont really see the Zelda like influence at all. When I think hack and slash I dont think Zelda. I think Devil May Cry and God of War and this game is just like those. Even the puzzles arent of Zelda quality, they too are more God of War... But its a SUPER GREAT GANE!!! War is so bad ass! And hes got some wicked moves!

I do want to say this, Dantes Inferno looks stupid ... If you have a PS3 people, wait for God of War III. I didnt like the demo personally. I'd rather play the game its so desperatly trying to be, than to pay $60 for a mediocre hack and slash... You know? Least Darksiders has bad ass characters and a cool story. Dante looks super lame :P Thats just me though

Oh yeah, Has anyone ever played PoPoLoCrois? Is on PSP. It is like the cutest, sweetest RPG I have ever played. It sorta reminds me of Blue Dragon. In the sense that it has these sweet charming characters that grow on you. Along with a story with so much heart. Its also simple, not frustrating at all. Its just a really good good game. Makes me wish I woulda picked it up years ago :P

Its Called Hollow Fields. Its about this little girl named Lucy Snow. And shes in this school called miss Wavers Academy for the Scientifically Gifted and Ethnically Unfettered ... Or Just Hollow Fields. They teach stuff like Live Taxedermy and Killer Robot Construction. Anyway, its really cute, I was really drawn to the art sttyle. I like it. Also, I completed my Death Note collection ( I was missing 11)

More manga news, I got volumes 1 -3 of the .Hack Legend of the Twilight manga. I used to have them before and It was really the only thing I liked as far as the dot hack series. And they were all $1 a piece, so ill probablly read those again for old times sake ... maybe ill watch the anime?... hmmmm
