They're probably missing all those who have jailbroken PS3s that have all the games too.......so I'm mainly getting this because ND gets their dues and plus this is in the right direction for a remaster with better textures and 60fps.

@ughz: Lost sales?? from Xbox One? I don't think those would be considered to be "lost"....Capcom is a multi-console company anyways so I don't think even if it was exclusive to those systems it wouldn't make a very huge dent. I mean just look at the success of Naughty Dog's games and other large AAA exclusive companies.

@ughz: Very well said!! That's exactly right, RE has always been about the "suspense" in the horror not actually horror specifically. It coined the term "survival horror" since you were given very little ammunition and required you to visit ares multiple times in order to progress. This is what RE has always been about in the past. Capcom needs to skew away from these globetrotting anti-terrorist commandos that base solely on high-octane action and back to what they originally panned.

I think the over-the-shoulder perspective needs to go as well-- don't get me wrong it works well in a lot of games, but if you want to return to the horror roots this perspective needs to go.....it usually simulates that a lot of action is going to take place pretty much every time. I say go more along the lines of The Last of Us and more recently MGSV.

Most importantly I'd say go away from all these different set pieces that the most recent REs have gone in and stick to a single designated area like the old games did (RE: Mansion, RE2: Police Station, RE3: Raccoon City)......however, with the next-gen technology create an environment in which you can explore everywhere with little-to-no loading times. Basically make this an open-world style Resident Evil in which you must revisit certain areas multiple times in order to unlock some puzzle or door. Say we were confined to a small town and this would be where most the game takes place.......this would obviously slow the gameplay compared to the more recent RE games, but the suspense and environment would all be there.....of course the town would be loaded with infected similar to what they've done with Dead Rising.

@dexda: Because games like The Last of Us and P.T. showed us that suspenseful horror can still be achieved; but Capcom needs to get Call of Duty out of their heads before they ever plan on going back to their horror roots.

@elleclouds: Think of it as Second Life in space....that is all; if you've come thinking this Call of Duty then go someplace else....that is not what this is supposed to be.
