Come on people. It's clearly an update to patch the supposed jailbreak exploit that Chinese hackers Chaitin Tech team presented at the Geekpwn convention in Shanghai this past weekend on Firmware 4.01. They even just stated that they have already presented the exploit to $ony who we all know now have obviously patched it.

"Battlefield 1's multiplayer can be a challenge to newcomers."

Well maybe DICE should have fucking made an offline bot mode so you can actually have fun playing instead of having to go against psychos who do nothing but play these games all day.

@freeryu: Yeah...I'll be damned if they at least don't push a 60fps option considering there is absolutely NO mention of a PC release!

Well, thanks to HENkaku the Vita is going to definitely have a pick-me-up in sales if it hasn't happened already.

@off3nc3: You sad bro... :(

This, unlike 3DTVs, will probably (and already is) becoming the norm. 4KTVs have already been deemed "disposable" in the tech world. This means, when they become overused and happen to break down, people will literally just go out and buy another one at a reasonable price. 4K is already great for PC gaming if you have the right hardware.

@chubby170: Except that's really not the case. My parents just bought a 65" Vizio 4k last week and were deciding between that and an LG of the same size. I told them to go with the LG as they are a company-specific electronic distributor and Vizio being mass-produced crap. They ended up going with the Vizio because the salesman was pushing them to that saying it was better because the store they were at was promoting the hell out of them to sell them off. I told them later that the Vizio did not have HDR and that the LG did....the price difference was only about $20 too. I own a 55" Samsung 4k with HDR Pro 10 and after looking at mine and seeing their 65", the color and vibrancy difference is extremely noticeable! The Vizio just looked flat and had no detail-- it looked washed out and had a grey tint to it, even with 4K content. Also, the Vizio was a SmartCast so you had to use your phone to do anything with the TV....which was horrible. They ended up returning it and going with the LG and the difference is staggering! The LG has HDR Premium and the colors are so much brighter and the "pop" is greatly welcomed.

This is pretty insane...I practically have this exact setup for my personal rig. I'm running an AMD FX-8350 too @4.5Ghz and a Sapphire NITRO+ RX 480 8GB for my setup; I am running 16GB RAM though. So I would say its safe to bet I could confirm some comparison to current games and pretty much assume $ony is lying out there ass to promote this console! Claiming this is going to be a current 4k gaming console is absolute shit! Now I'll admit, it can run 4k games, but the quality would have to be reduced immensely. For instance, just testing a few of these games recently ( I am testing these on a Samsung 55" 4KTV @60Hz w/120fps MRP {Effectively can run ~75fps max at 4K} )......

(All ULTRA settings; Anti-Aliasing settings always set around SMAAx2 or SMAAx4 whichever available-- currently what PS4 Pro is pushing for)

Bioshock Infinite Ultra settings at 4K with ~35-40fps and at 2K with ~ 60-70fps.

Doom (OpenGL 4.5) at Ultra settings at 4K with ~30-35fps and at 2K with ~ 75fps.

The Evil Within at Ultra settings at 4K with ~ 30-35fps and at 2K with ~ 60-65fps.

Splinter Cell Blacklist at Ultra settings at 4K with ~ 40-45fps and at 2K with ~ 75fps.

Assassins Creed Syndicate at Ultra settings at 4K with ~ 30fps and at 2K with ~ 50-60fps.

Rise of the Tomb Raider at Ultra settings at 4K with ~ 25fps and at 2K with ~ 35-45fps.

Those are just a few I have tested so far with a pretty similar setup to the PS4 Pro....so I can pretty much assume that if a game like Uncharted 4 were to be upgraded for Pro and if Pro is allowing actual graphical options, then if the game is playable at 4K it would probably only allow for ~ 25-30fps and if it allows you to continue to play at 1080p with the extra power push, then you could easily play at 1080p/60fps.....hands down.

@greaseman1985: Yeah I know, I actually own one HAHA....but it wasn't a horrible idea, it was the HD-DVD that was the failure.....the device actually worked very well and movies looked great at the dawn of HD....I only was able to own Troy, Kong and Superman Returns and they all looked great.

....and I'm not pertaining to the idea of an external device, but the way $ony is driving this it seems more than realistic that they would do anything to make an extra buck by selling an external device to play 4k Blu-Ray natively on the Pro. With the USB 3.1 speeds, it is actually more than likely a realistic approach to solve this problem; of course the price point would have to beat any current $ony 4k Blu-Ray players on the market or else the idea is pointless.
