As far as I understand it, there's not a single thing you can't buy with in game currency, as opposed to using the micro transactions. If you don't want to spend real cash, you don't have to. It's just a way to get stuff faster if you truly don't have the patience.
No harm, no real foul. Those who want to spend cash can, and those who don't, don't miss out in the long run.
Honestly, it is about time that Sony makes people pay for it's usage. While a novel idea to keep it free as long as possible, the servers, patches, etc all take time and resources. Really, it's more of Sony catching up with the times, rather than taking a step back.
As a person the military, the problem isn't being connected all the time, it's the 24 hour check in. What if you travel to someplace where the internet connection isn't strong enough, cuts out, or even set up at all? This response is even more of a slap in the face, pretty much saying that if you don't have an internet connection, you don't deserve to use our new system.
An 8/10 isn't a bad score. Sure, it misses getting the Editor's Choice award, but is that really going to stop you from buying or playing the game? The point of a review is to give the reviewers opinion about a game, and honestly player reviews are valued more than publication reviews IMO.
Seriously though, where can we get that cat shirt?
I remember playing it with my friend watching, and the volume bar started dropping. Of course we blamed each other for sitting on the remote, and then noticed it right in front of the TV. I've never dropped a controller and screamed NOPE so fast in my life.
10 hours of gameplay can translate into a lot when it comes to Quadradic. Taking a huge assumption and guessing it will have multiple storylines like Heavy Rain did, that could be a 20, 30, or even 40 hour game when it's all said in done.
Guess I could have explained myself a bit better, it's more of a curiosity to see what the system will look like. Will that be a make or break point for many people? Supremely doubtful, as many (like myself) have already decided to buy or pass following the announcement and what was seen.
