Years ago this was true but more and more games are showing us that there are ways to tell the story quite effectively without taking the player out of the gameplay. It's especially annoying in first person shooters when the game suddenly and jarringly becomes third person just to show a cutscene especially when games like Half Life and Bioshock have shown a simple alternative: have all dialogue and story events happen in-gameCutscenes are the only way to convey the story effectively and since I put stories high in my list of priorities for games I love cutscenes.

[QUOTE="NerdEmperor"]ummm untrue, you are mostly interacting in the cutscenes. I can't remember a cutscene in ME2 that lasted for very long anyway. That was my point. That's one of the reasons I really enjoy those games. After playing games like Mass Effect 2 or Heavy Rain, it's becoming increasingly annoying to have to watch cutscenes where I do nothing but watch.

I have a similar problem: I'm home for spring break and I brought my PS3 home. At school I had the audio and visual output through my HDMI but at home I don't have an HDTV so I have to use composite but I didn't tell it to switch over in the option before I left so when I turn it on, I can't see or hear anything. Is there anyway around this or am I screwed until I get back to school?
So a few months ago, my Ps3 broke and I sent it in to Sony, and they sent me a new one. And now I'm trying to register my headset that I had so I can play some MAG but it keeps asking for a code and I can't find it anywhere. Is there any way to reset the headset so I can use it on my new PS3?
