[QUOTE="jpm27"][QUOTE="jtcraft"]The title to this thread is misleading. The surprise is from Nvidia and Gearbox (EVGA isn't involved). The EVGA part is from a previous post on PDXLan's website.ionusX

Pretty much every title he writes is misleading.

and your pretty much made of money..

not sure about you but i wouldn't mind being made out fo money :p

hey guys i am planning on buying a comp before 12AM today (thanks to the help of a few gentleman) and i have a question

on I BUY POWER the standard is certified CPU Fan and Heatsink. however for only 10 dollars more there is the LIQUID CPU Cooling System- with a free upgrade to standar 120 mm fan.

is this worth it??

ALSO

** if anyone has the time, i am planning on buying a monitor (Scepter 23.5) but theres also a tab seperate for monitor cable, do i need to buy that seperately? or does simply buying the monitor come with one?

myungstunna

First and formost if you want to go into the watercooling route do some research first, it is high maitenence but after you go through the process you only have to drain and clean it every 6months to a year ofc cleaning out dust on the regular is good also, but as far as going that route i recomend you do some research first it's actually fun when you get into it.

Don't buy a Razer Lycosa. I was impressed with Razer products as I had a Onza for my 360 which was awesome and a Deathadder mouse which is also awesome, but man, that keyboard sucks. First one froze all the time and I sent it back to Newegg for a replacement. Second one didn't freeze until after the 30 day warranty and it's happened a couple of times since. I'm debating on whether it's worth my time to send it off to Razer. I've tried any and all firmware and nothing seems to work for good.

So I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but if you were considering the Lycosa, do yourself a favor and don't! :P

really? must but bad luck on your end mine works perfectly fine.

I mean its obvious that no matter what nvidia does they wont be able to compete with what ATI has done with this new line, they are just stalling to try and cope with the loss its over for them this series. They will just rehash their old line while ATI has destroyed the market and set a new precident that they cant hope to match. Nvidia has been on top for too long and even mountains crumble people kiss your beloved company's reign goodbye! ATI FTW!!!!

I've always had better luck with AMD cards, nvidia cards tend to break down or develop problems in my experience.ferret-gamer
