controls suck? they're VASTLY improved over the old games. you can actually move AND shoot at the same time now.

AI is not terrible if you're playing on the boss extreme? have you beat it on that mode?

I think he's harsh, but I was going though playing MGS4 thinking about at least ten things that could be improved.

Look I don't think people are going to deny that it probably is the best in series, the problem is that it is no different from the rest of them as far as gameplay goes. Sure what are you really going to expect? A totally different game? Of course not it is a franchise that has solitified itself just as that. The problem I have is that the missions are the same thing over and over and over again. Its not different from what the previous installments were. The thing I gave this game a thumbs up for was the storyline I find it to be interesting, not unbelievable but good. The graphics were beautiful and besides that what really changed in this game from the others to make it worth a 10? The graphics :? to me thats not good enough to qualify for a 10, I'm sorry but that shouldn't be a key to giving a game a 10. GTAIV was a enjoyable game for about a week and then it totally dissapointed me with its usual dumbed down missions and repeating missions at that. I haven't played it in two weeks.

MGS4 has little replay value.....10? I mean I just beat it and I have little incentive to try again right now. GTAIV I played for a full month before starting to get bored. Playing online is great fun especially with friends. MGO I can honestly say I'd be fine never playing it again. COD 4 is a much superior online game. COD4 I played for 5 months straight not getting bored. I'm 8th prestige now. If any game deserved a 10 for fun it would be that. GTAIV wasn't overrated. People just expected it to be Life....The Game. There is no game that does what GTAIV does....better than GTAIV. Thats a fact. Whine all day. I'm really surprised more people aren't mad about the MGS4 score. My hopes were very high for it and I feel let down by the ending. The gameplay is FAR better than any other MGS so far, thats the main reason I liked it.

Could someone briefly explain CQC. My meaning is the button config. and what does what. While, I could look at the manual, I am lazy and I am at work. I know that L1 and triangle are used but I usually (not meaning to) knock a guard out and then can't drag him without waking him up. Also, do you just equip the knife in order to use it? Rather noob questions for someone in Act 3, but Heretix's post sparked this post. :Pdhjohns

You only HAVE to use CQC once the whole game and thats why. The game is made so you can run and gun or never use CQC if you wish. First you have to have a weapon with CQC in the right hand corner of the gun indicator at the lower right sceeen. Pistols and the knife are for sure CQC. So get the Operator out and if someone sees you get close hold L1 and press Triangle. Snake should throw them to the ground and they should be unconscious. If you come up behind someone do the same thing and Snake will grab them from behind. Those are the basics...refer to the manual for extra moves.
