heres the setup in my room. 32" westinghouse lcd, 360 (going to add wii this year and ps3 in a few years), hk receiver, and athena 5.1 sound setup. i've added a black game/movie shelf to the right of the tv recently, but i'm not gonna take a pic of it.

Networks can't keep up. HDTV requires a consistent bandwidth of 19Mb/s. You expect home Internet connections to have that level of consistent bandwidth anytime soon? I don't think so. Verizon FiOS delivers 15Mb/s for $50/mo (higher in NYC.) With a better video codec such as .h264 or VC1, high-def in realtime over those connections is a very distinct possibility. and what select areas is this available in?
Just a question. Isn't it so that 1080i displays half the pic every frame? so that to display 30 frames you need to display 60 half frames? like this: fram 1a 1b 2a 2b 3a 3b etc? Just wondering.... :oops:trasherhead
it displays half of the pic every 1/60 of a second so you get the full picture every 1/30 of a second. your eyes can't tell the difference unless theres a lot of stuff going on in the picture
