Falcon chips are in 360's now, have been for the last couple weeks. People have said there is a sticker on the box that lets you know if it's the new chip, but it's very small, and MS don't want to make a big deal about it they want people to forget about the hardware problems. They are quietly rolling it out.
I would like to trade my 360 in towards a Elite with the new chip, but I've done so much work on my 360 including a DIY repair job to fix three red lights that no one would want it, as long as it keeps workng for Halo 3 and Bioshock I'll be happy.
Seeing as I was finished with the Darkness after about three days I would say it's the perfect rental, along with Condemned, FEAR. Not much replay value but good games.
Oblivion makes Morrowind look like total crapTHETRUEDOZAH
In some ways yes, but Morrowind had a very good story, and a good variety of spells, armour, weapons. It's old school I guess, but it had its charms.I plan to pick up Daggerfall to see if I can get into it. Some say it's the best Elder scrolls game.
I would like to replay both games again, Oblivion with the expansion this time to see if I think differently about it, I got caught up in a awful lot of hype surrounding that game and maybe that effected my enjoyment somewhat. Now it's cheap I might give it another shot. And now Morrowind works on 360 I might get the GOTY edition, it's been about three years since I played it and could do with another play through.
I'm not saying Oblivion is a bad game, I put fifty hours into it and finished a lot of it, it's a very good game, but I would think you would at least have to get some enjoyment out of Morrowind to like Oblivion, maybe I'm wrong.
It has better combat than Morrowind, and is easier to get into. I preffered Morrowind, I thought it had a better story, more interesting world and I loved the expansions for it. If you didn't like Morrowind I wouldn't bother as they're very similar in gameplay. Some may disagree.
I've owned many 360 games and oddly COD2 is still the one I got most enjoyment from, more so than Gears, Rainbow six Vegas, Oblivion. That game just clicked with me. Currently I'm playing nothing but the Bioshock demo, sad but I love it and will be picking it up this Friday. I want Halo 3 to be better, but for me I don't know if it will. After that COD4 baby, that game just looks great.
It's called the Falcon I think, it's smaller so makes less heat, so your 360 should last longer. It's also cheaper to make which is probably why we're seeing price cuts on the 360
