I don't understand system wars anymore

Dead rising was called a fllop, Lost planet a flop, Kameo a flop Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda TP a flop. And if Halo 3 gets below 9 it's a flop.

Yet cows and Casey say one of the most hyped and most important PS3 games Warhawk isn't a flop because it got 8.5?

Double standards FTL, I don't care what you hype a game, if it's not AAA then it has no business being called a success.

A 6 really really isn't that great of a score, I honestly thought this game would get a 7. But either way, if someone plays this and enjoys it then why would the score matter.zsc4

People seem to be in agreement that for someone new to JRPG's who owns a 360, Blue Dragon is a good place to start, it's not to hard, not to muchgrinding or insanely hard boss battles, it looks amazing and is a enjoyable ride. It really isn't a 6.0, more like a 7.5, some even say they love the game. It's one of those games you either like or you don't. Calling it a flop isn't telling the whole story, there is a good solid game in there for people willing to give it a chance. The demo was not a good representation of the game, over powered characters cheapened the expierience.

I thought Neogaf would tear this game to shreds, surprisingly they seem to like it quite a bit

I might actually pick it up, and even if it's a flop here it's selling well enough, top 10 in UK.

I remember games like Dead rising, Lost planet, Kameo being called flops here on system wars, yet when Warhawk gets 8.5 cows celebrate and pat each other on the back as if they've got themselves a AAA. System wars was better when 9+ = win,-9 or below was a flop. If everyone hyped Halo 3 as a 7.0, and it scoerd 7.0 doesn't mean it wasn't a massive flop. You have to take into consideration the hype that surrounded the game. Warhawk was hyped as one of the PS3's big hitters, cows used it against lemmings when it was first revealed to show how PS3 graphics were so much better than 360's. It simply didn't live up to the hype.

Until PS3 gets a AAA exclusive the system and its games are a flop imo, and no amount of spinning or playing with words by cows or anyone else is going to change that.

Warhawk is a fun game, but it flopped because it couldn't get AAA, not hard to understand.

I'm not having a go at you for liking Gamespot reviews, but you can't say there is nothing wrong with them, no other reviews matter. I mean talk about burning your bridges, leave yourself some options, room to move around and check out other credible reviewers opinions of games. Don't say they all cater to casuals, Eurogamer has very well written reviews and are not afraid to score a game low, Halo 8, Gears 8, Resistance 6

Well maybe in the days when Gamespot reviews were credible, or when Greg K added much needed class to this place. I don't see a reason to go buy Gamespots reviews any longer, review scores have no consistency, new review system is boring and doesn't work.
