[QUOTE="Nidget"] But its not repeating the same formula:? Yeah, its still an FPS and yeah, its still as fun as the previous 3 halo games. But this is an open world based campaign with a different method to progressing the story.ShadowriverUB
Well, Bungie as a game developer should create new IP instead of pushing Halo to limit, until people start to puke.
They are working on a new ip as we speak. ODST has been finished for a while now, so theyre focused on Reach and their new IP[QUOTE="Nidget"][QUOTE="skrat_01"]Hurm.Probably why ODST is doing so well, because its going down a path different to the rest of the Halo series. So as long as a game repeats the same forumla it will be great? How depressing, from a designers perspective. Look at what Call of Duty and Guitar Hero have become. No suprise here. Shame.

Hurm.[QUOTE="Filthybastrd"]
I think I do have a point. Here's without mentioning any names:
One game pretty much improves in all aspects and adds content. Result: an increase in score of 0.4.
Another game is a new short campaign + very little change (a harsher critic would call it old wine on new bottles). Result: it decreases 0.5 in score compard to it's predecessor.
I call that being forgiving since no other game would get away with that.

[QUOTE="Nidget"]I have played it, and read about the second which apparently features a lot more climbing and platforming in general than the first. It also has puzzles and stuff. i find it more comparable to tomb raider. ShadowriverUB
Then looks like that you played only few first chapters that have mostly puzzles, there mostly shooting in next chapters
Im talking about U2 (which i havent played) not the first one. ND have said the second will feature more of it. And i havent just played the first few chapters of the first one, ive beat it, and yes that includes the borefest bit at the end with the ridiculous spanish enemies that are awful to fight.... and plays like the rest of the series....GreyFoXX4Hmm, 3 of the best games ever made and ODST plays just like them. Id say thats pretty deserved of the praise its getting.
[QUOTE="Nidget"]Not many other games are as great as Halo, thats why. Regardless of length and graphics, the game you're playing is obviously incredibly fun if these reviews are to go by. Uncharted is just a tomb raider knock off.ShadowriverUB
Go play UC... you will see that it's more Gears ripoff then Tomb Raider. They are mixed
