[QUOTE="_KwispY"]after reading about the ps3's new online plans...why Nintendo isn't hopping all the ball and doing something? i think its about time there was online gaming on the wii. i mean i love my wii, but if something new doesn't happen soon...my support for the wii just might miraculously disappear. maybe I'm just jumping the gun...but I'm just a little frazzled....thoughts?Crucifix_Angel

Anybody annoyed you say? emmm.........RIGHT HERE!!! i agree to what your saying but Nintendo arent in tune with real gamers at the moment so they are playing the family fun card for now!

You know what annoys me? People like you. "real gamers?" Video games are about fun, enjoyable experiences that everyone can have. Video games are not about losers running home after school every day to play Gears of War or Halo, they are a recreational activity, not a lifestyle.

ITA. Nothing annoys me more than the arrogance of those prepubescent, self described "real gamers."

I wouldnt bother with online, there is to much down time in it (the time between turns, using orbs, single player games, etc). Down time is fine when you have a group dof buddies over, but if im playign alone online, i dont want to sit and twiddle my thumbs waiting for my turnRoland1987
ITA. I think it would be super boring online. For me, half the fun of Mario Party comes from the drinking and talking with friends during the down time.

[QUOTE="Timesplitter14"]

Well there's no real proof that god doesn't existdhyce

The same with every other god man has ever thought up, or any imaginary being you can come up with.

People don't understand the concept of proof; you put forth a concept like God, can you prove it? The burden of proof is on those who are religious, to say he can't be disproven is silly, because that's not how proving a concept works. Every single God in the history of mankind can't be disproved, the same with flying spaghetti monster and magical flying fuzzy pink lobster that cruises around the universe singing power metal ballads. The bottum line with proof is that you put forth a concept and try to prove it, saying "it can't be disproven" isn't really part of the equation.

You took the words right out of my head.

I'm sorry if I think it's wrong to discriminate against people who are different than me.  Maybe I am out of arguments.  How can you argue with something so ridiculous?  Just because someone is disabled, or overweight or unintelligent doesn't mean they have nothing to offer.  Let's say a highly intelligent, widely regarded doctor is offered a prestigious position in your country.  Now let's pretend said doctor is in a wheel chair but otherwise fully capable.  Or perhaps he has a son in his care that is mentally challenged.  I suppose he should be sent back to where he came from.  The world would be a better place if people were more tolerant of each other and I stand by that.  To argue otherwise is idiotic.

Btw, baseless hate would imply that I hate him because he's Black, or overweight, or in a wheel chair or speaks German.  It's absurd to equate mindless discrimmination with feeling disgusted towards someone's opinion.

For starters your last sentence sums up your misunderstanding. I did not say any thing about a person being black or any skin tone, nor if they speak German, they can speak a thousand languages just as long as one of them is English.

Personally I would make it flexible, if someone is extremely intelligent, but overweight or in a wheel chair then yes the other areas may make some allowance, that is a good point that I didn't state for the beginning.

"I'm sorry if I think it's wrong to discriminate against people who are different than me"

What is the point in taking people into your country just to be a burden? The people who are born here with disabilities can be looked after in the best possible way, however there is not a need for more.

For starters, that last part about baseless hate was directed at Teuvan not you. Your second last sentence sums up your misunderstanding.  Assuming that someone will be a burden just because they are overweight, below average intelligence, disabled or not fluent in English is highly discriminatory.  It's as bad as descriminating based on race imo, thus my reference there.

There was something about Wind Waker that I prefered over the rest. Maybe because it was my first Zelda.tryagainlater

I think it's pretty common to have the first Zelda you play as your favorite.

[QUOTE="Niebz"][QUOTE="Teuvan"][QUOTE="Niebz"]Wow. I can't believe the amount of ignorance and hate in this thread. Learning a new language is difficult. For some it may be too difficult. Put yourself in their shoes. Imagine being unable to communicate with the people around you. I'm sure that many don't even have access to the resources necessary to learn the language. Even if they should chose to stick to their native language they shouldn't be ridiculed or treated like garbage. I'm annoyed at the amount of intolerance people seem to have for anyone who might be slightly different than them.Teuvan

If learning a new language is "too difficult" for someone, they should remain in a country that they can speak the native language of. Not having the proper resources is no excuse. If you're able to move to a different country, you should be able to find some way of picking up a new language. If not being able to communicate with people around you is so horrible, then you should make some effort to learn the goddamn language. Choosing not to learn the language of the country you decide to live in inexcusable, as that is equivalent to choosing to be a burden on the native residents of that country. I have absolutely no sympathy for immigrants that make no effort to learn the native language of the country they immigrate to and believe they should be deported immediately.

Aren't you full of hate? How are these people a burden if they work hard, pay their taxes and abide by the law?

I hate people that are lazy and ignorant to such extremes that they would choose to move to a foreign country and not learn its native language. They are more likely to violate the law if they're unable to communicate with the vast majority of their fellow citizens, not to mention the dangers presented to themselves and others from being unable to read traffic signs or simple warning labels. Being entirely unable to communicate with people around you does make you a burden on them in everyday life, both socially for obvious reasons and in work due to the inability to read any instructions or follow any orders that aren't given in your own language. A lot of immigrants that entirely lack basic English language skills are illegal anyway, which in and of itself is not abiding by the law.

I'm sure most of them know/learn enough to get by.  Growing up I worked in a restaurant run by a family of Chinese immigrants.  Their kids learned English fairly well and helped their parents the best they could.  Their parents, being older found it more difficult to learn the language.  They were neither lazy, nor ignorant, nor a burden on society.  They were good people who deserve respect.  The language you speak and the country you are born in does not dictate what kind of citizen you will be.

[QUOTE="Bourbons3"]Do you think that someone should be allowed to live in an English speaking counntry (like US, UK, Australia, etc) if they cannot speak English?b1gb0y

No.

Because you will not understand much while your here (I live in the UK). I am quite lenient towards immigrants (I wouldn't be here without them for a start) however there should be just 5 things they should pass before they come in:

1) Health Check, no obese, diseased people, disabled or sick people.

2) Speak the language

3) IQ over 100.

4) The name of the monarchy.

5) You haven't committed actions that are illegal in this country, in other countries.

Pass those five and you're in no matter what else really.

You intolerance disgusts me.  People like you are what is wrong with the world.
