i am wondering about gaming for linux. especially in ubuntu. Have any of you played crysis or used steam on linux?

is it hard to use?

does it require the knowledge of API? the kernal that is.

Can you use ubuntu for this or is there another kind of linux you require for gaming?

i was wondering if you played crysis demo on linux if so then it would be awesome if someone could tell me how the process works.

i knew crysis was going to rule. i mean punching in a roof of a building over your enemies, then speed running away as it never happened to freak out the enemies simply is enough ownage. its a shame more Developers who made FPS just do not get it. how hard is it to implament these things? it annoys me to see Money wasted on games like timeshift and so on.

Third generation? Hmm..UT, UT2003, UT2004, UT3...sounds like a 4th generation to me? Or did they ditch UT2003 for having an imperfect gameplay? Because what i heard UT2004 is like a 'facelifted' version of the UT2003..if im not mistaken..correct me if im wrong..thanks.
