I think he did, it was just a little unclear. You could interpret "neither" as "neither are legendary" or "neither is more legendary than the other."

It seemed to me like you were saying:

Answer: Neither. They're both just mainstream and not deserving of the title legendary. You know like when someone says "hey i love led zeppelin" and there's always that guy who takes the high-road and says "meh... mainstream..." I thought you were saying that neither band is legendary; as opposed to "neither is more legendary than the other" which would have been a little clearer.

If i misinterpreted i apologise. If you were indeed just saying that they both have equal numbers of hype and fans, that's fine. On this forum however where everyone seems to consider themselves grand overlord of musical taste, it's often natural to interpret things as hostility when it could be a simple comment.

The most annoying sound in existance, for me, is a group of girls at my university who do EVERYTHING together so are always found in their big mob of ten. At lunch every day i relax in the library and eat my lunch for about ten minutes, knowing they're inevitably going to come in, sit down and start screaming. It's literally as if they're 100 yards apart. That's the volume you'd talk at. They just scream and squeel as like normal talking voices and periodically tell "OH. MY. GOD!"

Makes me angry just thinking about it. :P

Rap is dead. There hasnt been any sophisticated rap for a long, long time. It died with Tupac. Rock is still going strong. (Long road out of Eden, need I say more?) I cant bring myself to praise current rap in any way shape or form. bellsmye1

Again; you just dont know of any real rap groups. Surely you can see that you're being somewhat irrational? I have to be very careful here as the ToU here can get you modded for insulting people when that isn't your intention; however i have to say you seem to have no real understanding of any of the things you're passing judgement on. I know what Good Rap use to be, but when I'm hearing people call things like soulja-boy "rap" and hearing stuff on the radio (when my sister is in the car, because I hate the radio) and they are giving people the fame they don't deserve, and only make America so much closer to making "idiocracy" a reality, it gets. You've mentioned a lot of good rap artists and groups, besides, we're talking about the mainstream rap that everyone hates, and why we hate them, I already know there's good rappers out there, I love rap, but ya know what, I guess you're right and I'm wrong because since I hate the stuff that is crap, I must be ignorant and not have any valid points, are you the TC's more articulate brother or something? Because this thread seems to be made to piss people off, not my comments.

Then have the foresight to realise that you have beef with a minority of mainstream rappers like 50 cent who are paraded on MTV in front of young teenagers who buy into their music. That isn't rap. That's a corporate product, and it is truly sad that so many people cannot see past that and take that in as what rap music is.
