That depends. There are those in the 18+ group that don't like rap. Genres of music are either something you like...or don't. A small percentage of people take the time to get actual experience in various genres...but for most people they are content listening to what they always did.

Again; who said they have to like rap? I haven't said that at all. All i've commented on is the ignorance and general lack of respect given to an art medium and the people who enjoy it, from people who know absolutely nothing about the music they are so quick to vocally dismiss as garbage.

No my statement is not void. If anything my statement just shows that there are some tragic exceptions to the rule, and that some people will indeed grow up and still lack the understanding to know that writing off an entire genre of music based off mainstream stereotypes isn't logical.

Again; you just dont know of any real rap groups. Surely you can see that you're being somewhat irrational? I have to be very careful here as the ToU here can get you modded for insulting people when that isn't your intention; however i have to say you seem to have no real understanding of any of the things you're passing judgement on. Yes. They are. Most of them are true. This new rap genre sucks. It used to be very good, back when they didn't have to curse and pretend to be gangsta all the time, and there were actually talented rappers. :| jaydough
