I thought they used nurbs, not polygons..xsynth
Nope, its poly's and some models can take around 30 million depending on the model. I.E. the hands in a FPS is going to have more poly's than a full blown enemy. Its not hard to make a high poly object at all though. What makes things difficult is having a limit set so the fps doesn't take a nose dive when the main character comes into play.

I'm more interested in what smoke and mirrors they used to allow a high poly count while keeping a good fps.

Because I am not black, I don't relate to the character as much as if they were white so it would effect my immersion in some games if it were stereotyped. If it wasn't stereotyped, I wouldn't mind an option like most RPG's give.

I've completed all the multiplayer maps and have gotten up to chapter 2 in the single player. TW2 is actually a pretty good game! Its not GOTY but the multiplayer is a lot of fun and the single player is really deep. Voice acting is good and the graphics look great. The cinimatics arn't very good and the player's character has aweful voice acting. Aside from that, the game is well worth the price! If you enjoyed Dragon's Age, but didn't like the micromanaging, definatley give TW2 a look and you won't be dissapointed.

I am a Christian and although my belief's do not prevent me from playing games, it does impact how I play them.

I will play CoD and BFBC, but I try not curse at people, use God's name in vane etc. basically showing my belief's though my actions. In RPG's, I always play the "good guy" and although certain options are available, like the option to steal in Fallout 3, I don't do it. (yeah, you heard me, I don't steal from citizens in FO3.) If character's have a sexual relationship, its not homosexual and I don't slaughter civilians.

This is not a limitation, but instead enhances my gaming experience. I feel better and enjoy the game more by following God's will. Its not like I wish I could do things available because of my religion forbids it but instead it makes it more satisfying by not choosing to do so.

I would say my belief does not keep me from being a gamer and playing any game, but it does guide my conduct in how I go about playing them. I don't pretend to walk aperfect line nor do I preach to others, but Ibelieve it is my actions that speak volumes in ways that God either approves of or will forgive methough my intentions.

Refreshing topic TC. Good post.

It really depends on the game. Some games, I have yet to crash on, others (like Fallout 3) crash every few hours.
