Its not that I hate the motion movement in gaming, its that there arn't any good games to support it. A saying we joke with in our development course is "If you have an idea that looks dead, make it Move." and it seems like an accurate way to describe a lot of motion games right now.

The story, graphics and even gameplay stinks, but the concept of motion seems like its only justification and that's not good enough for me. I think the potential is there, but until it arrives, I will keep playing what I already enjoy.

Hi, does anyone have any tips on tapping a button in a repeated motion such as SQUARE or CIRCLE? I ask because i just got X-men Origins: Wolverine, and I'm at a point in the game where you have to repeatedly tap the CIRCLE button at a crazy speed; now normally I am very good at this, but I guess I'm just not good enough for some games. :? So, I'm asking anyone out there, to please, give me some help. :)

Zythn

I have a few techniques I've developed over the years ;)

1. Guitar Method: This is just like picking a guitar string where you ungrip the controller with your right hand and shake your wrist back and forth like you are flicking water off your fingers, hitting the button of choice over and over with your thumb.

2. Spoon Method: Take a spoon (hold it right side up) and slide it quickly back and forth over the button of choice. This will not damage your controller btw.

3.Peace Method: Make a peace sign with your right hand and put the controller in-between your fingers with your indexover the button-to-be-mashed and shake your arm up and down, hitting the button with the side of yourtrigger finger.

Despite whether this is a new hack or not still doesn't change the fact that the game has been hacked for years. You may or may not encounter one of these hacks based on the lobby you sign into. You may have just finally happened upon the motherload. In any case, the game is hacked to the point that it is unplayable. If you want to play a decent game get a new one that is still properly taken care of.

Black Ops is already a piece of **** without hacks on PS3, full of connection/lag/freeze errors. Don't worry though, it won't be long before that game is hacked to shreds, too, because presently nothing can be done about it. It's not about Activision "taking care of" the game, it's a Sony security breach. Any patch Treyarch administers will quickly be overridden and be entirely inconsequential. Give it three weeks, tops. It will be exactly like MW2.

Maybe, maybe not. If it does become a hacked up mess then I will just invite those who don't want to cheat to a private lobby to play. I'm sure there are plenty of legit players who want to play legit games.

Homebrew is a just a symptom of the real problem, a side effect of allowing hackers to hide behind the law and make tools for others to abuse. Even if Sony fixed every single thing with the omega of all patches...it doesn't mean it wouldn't eventually get hacked as well.

In the end, Sony has the resources and modivation to fix their problem. How they go about it is up to them and thanks to these "freedom hackers", legit consumers will be the ones to bite the bullet.

[QUOTE="zxcqweasd1"][QUOTE="MrSelf-Destruct"]COD4? Dude, that games been hacked like that for years now. Once MW2 came out they left that one to rot. COD games are always getting hacked to bits without the assistance of George Hotz. This new security breach has nothing to do with it. Play a new game. volume_three

No, I've never experienced this before ever and it happens right after the security breach. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that it is very related to the security breach, thanks.

While there's no doubt the PS3 versions have had their fair share of exploits in the past, I'm going to have to agree with you here.

Destructoid seems to agree with you also ;)

Although the link you gave does have the OPINION that they these new hacks are a result of homebrew, people on these forumshave stated before that those old games have already been compromised. If hacks started to pop up in Black Ops, then I might almost be interested. For now, all we can do is hope the PS4 comes out asap and is ready for this sort of thing in the future.

I personally hope that some homebrew user makes a program to brick the systems of those who use homebrew. Now THAT would be a hacker usingthat softwarefor good.
