Serious Gaming (360, PS3, Wii U, 3DS, Vita) is rapidly seeing the decline of the casual audience, who have move toward more smaller on-the-go games. (Thus explains Nintendo's seriousness to appeal to the core audience with Wii U), and move back to the generations where real gamers buy games only, and expect a lot from it. So I believe that companies can't tarnish there brand, and stumble. In the future, if they don't get their act together, then I see Capcom, EA, Activision, and Square gone, do to there failures of quality, and originality. Meanwhile Rock*, Naughty Dog, 343 Studio's, Nintendo, and etc., remain.
Why do people buy this crap, it's nothing jaw dropping. The fact that over 23 millon casual gamers dropped there gaming systems to play smaller games with no button input is not suprising either. Glad they buy this garbage, and not dedicated game devices. Screw Apple, Samsung, and Android do it better.
