Because choosing 1990 - 2000 seemed like too close a time span, so instead I chose 1890 - 1900. Arbitrary choosing i see Well, I had to pick a time span so I did. As simple as that.[QUOTE="NiteLights"]

Of all the spans of time in the world, why do you choose 1890-1900? I'm curious.

I'm gonna just focus on this one, since it's the one that is most factually addressable:
[QUOTE="NiteLights"]
The earthquake seismic monitor, theIRIS,shows all major earthquakes for the last year.By contrast, in the years from 1890 to 1900 there was only one major earthquake in the world, and we've already had two in just three months. (The Christchurch Earthquake and the Japan Earthquake.)

It never fails; every single time this topic comes up, everyone posts Matthew verses while ignoring Matthew 24:36: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. We are not living in the End Times anymore than we were eleven, a thousand, or two thousand years ago, and unless you want to claim you know more than Jesus Christ, there's no really no controverting this fact.TheokhothI know the verse very well. But read it again, 'that day, or hour.' Not I, or anyone can guarantee we are in the end times, but we can discuss it. Those verses aren't written down for nothing, they are basically warnings. And with your second point, which I highlighted in bold, did we have as many false prophets back then as we do now? No. Did we always have a war of some kind going on? No. But thank you for sharing your opinion.
Alrighty, so firstly I'm not here to start a religious debate. I'm here to discuss and hear your opinions on this matter. I'm talking about the Christian bible and it's prophecy's on the end of the world. I'm Christian and I believe that everything in the Bible is true, but for those who don't, for now just pretend that it is.
Here's some of the prophecy's in the Bible about the end of the world.
1. FALSE PROPHETS AND CHRISTS
Matthew 24:5"For many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and will mislead many."
Matthew 24:11"And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many."
In the last several years many have claimed to be the Messiah. Jim Jones and David Koresh are examples of these false christs as well as countless others who are not as newsworthy.
2. WARS
Matthew 24:6"And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end."
Matthew 24:7"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
More people have been killed in warfare in this century than at any other time in history. As the death toll rises in the Middle East, more and more countries work feverishly to develop devastating weapons of mass destruction.
3. FAMINES
Matthew 24:7"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
As white farmers are driven out of Zimbabwe in increasing numbers, and foreigners move in to replace life-sustaining crops with poppies that now supply 25% of the worlds drugs, famine spreads across the African continent.A large portion of the worlds 5 billion people suffers from a shortage of food.
4. EARTHQUAKES
Matthew 24:7"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
The number and intensity of earthquakes this century is at a level higher than any other time in history. The earthquake seismic monitor, theIRIS,shows all major earthquakes for the last year.By contrast, in the years from 1890 to 1900 there was only one major earthquake in the world, and we've already had two in just three months. (The Christchurch Earthquake and the Japan Earthquake.)
These are just a few examples, but can anybody else see how a lot of these things are currently happening? The Bible was written over a period of 1400 to 1800 years. That's a long time ago and it's managed to predict these events. What are you're thoughts on this? Do you find it strange/weird? Or do you simply think that it's just a coincidience?
Please, no religous debate's and respect each other's opinions.
Why is this funny?I saw it and just thought I should post it because it was that awesome.Agent-Zero
Yep that's pretty much the point.I didn't get it... We're not supposed to smile or laugh? Well I lost then at the "There's no sun in the closet" then, lol.
