my 360 is broken but on friday i wanted to rent it b4 my 360 comes back. I went to 3 stores and none of them had it. any ideas to how to get crackdown without buying it? and can u guys rent the game cuz i certainly cant

warhawk, killzone, and uncharted won't need betas because they wont have 4 million people go online at once

Its too slow! I mean dont get me wrong overeall its fun. But one thing ive always hated about the halo franchise is how when someone starts shooting you from behind your pretty much screwed and good as dead. The enviroments are too empty and there is nothing to hide behind or take cover behind when you are getting shot at. Sure you can turn around and start shooting back but its so slow that by the time you turn around and start shooting.. YOUR DEAD! Thats one thing I hated about Halo 2 and hate about Halo 3 so far.

On a side note, I do love that new ATV like vehicle in "high Ground" map on the Halo 3 beta, all they need to do know is let you shoot while you drive and ill be good to go :D

You're such a platform loyalist that you'd rather commit suicide than conceded that Starcraft 2 *gasp* might be possible on a console? Was Command & Conquer 3 simply *ruined* because it exists on the Xbox 360? Get out of here with that nonsense. Pikmin and Pikmin 2 worked fine on the Gamecube, C&C3 was solid on the 360, and Starcraft 2 would (yes, I know, terribly hard to accept) be *just fine* on the Xbox 360 or PS3.

What are you going to do? Complain about the graphics? We've all been playing Starcraft just fine and it's as dated as you can get graphically - or are you going to go the "kb&m only!" route - despite C&C3 proving a control pad works *fine* for RTS gaming? Maybe try a cheap bash at Xbox LIVE, in spite of it being a proven online gaming service?

Frankly, all I see here is a PC gamer afraid that their platform no longer has anything distinguishing it, outside of the ability to upgrade their graphics card.

if you've played starcraft on real maps other than turret D or cannon D you would know that starcraft would never work on a console. sure it would be playable but once you hop online you will get raped harder than a little boy in prison. sure it works with cnc3 and lotr but those game require no micro. all you do is send your army and hope you have more units than the other person thanks because pretty much every single unit in cnc3 is ranged and you fight on land that has no obstacles to move around u just need to send and you'll win. In SC you have to pump miners at all times, manage your army,tech,expo,scout,macro,defend your base all at the same time. im guessing with a control pad you'll get maybe 20-30 apm. noobs on bnet usually have atleast 60-70 apm. If you've played starcraft for more than 5 minutes you'd know what apm is and how important it is. I am not a fanboy, I own a wii and a 360 and a decent computer so dont call me a fanboy.

If you've haven't played it than you shouldn't....and if you have and didn't like it, you must have not been very good.

I dont get why people always say that, I say that Halo 2 online is horrible and they say i must not be good at it, I wasnt but it didnt change the fact im really good at the Halo 3 beta when i get going, I already know why im doing better.

1) The graphics are better which makes me play better,

2) The controls are leaps and bounds better

3) Wepons have been tweaked so you actually have to use some skill and not just the right wepoon

Dose this give me the right to say that Halo 2 had poor Mp, I think it does because i like games where if your not doing to good you know why and then you can improve and let skill come into it and if not i will fault the game for it and move onto a game which is setup better imo and then they will get my money.

So basicaly Halo2= Trash to me as maybe Starcraft to him.

in halo you can just hop into a game and have fun. you just point and aim and sometimes you'll get a lucky kill.

in starcraft you have to know the game inside out. it takes years just to be able to have a decent macro/micro in addition to that you need to know how to scout, have a good bo and know how to manage ur economy, and know when to expo/when to attack/when to build when to power. if your new to SC then you will get destroyed by 4 pools/5 pools, cannon rushes, bunker rushes, muta harasses, etc before you even get your first expo. dont even try to compare fps to rts  let alone halo to starcraft.

i love how nobody talks about starcraft. that just proves how many fanboys are in system wars that are here just to hate on the most popular game.

Defilers were incredibly effective but mutalisks were poor even in groups. and DO NOT get me started on Ultralisk. Their Damage was laughable, and they were slow as crap. A group of zerglings was far cheaper and far more effective than the overexpensive piece of crap. They were technically the Strongest melee unit in the game but they were far from the best, i'd rate Zerglings and Zealots higher than them. and Dark Templars could RUIN them

really it depends on the match up. if it's tvz then you could easily harass with muta or lurkers cuz terran would have to go MM + science vessel cuz tanks would get raped by the number of zerglings. but if it's pvz it really depends what happens, if you end the game soon then you wouldnt need ultralisks but if the game becomes more of a macro game then you need ultralisks because zerglings just don't cut it when your enemy has archons n templars that storm the crap out of ur lings.

my old one is the mutalisks. if you know how to use them they can be invincible but if you don't know how to use the unit they can all die in 2 seconds due to storms

my favorite new unit is the tripod thing in protoss(i forgot what it's called). It's so sweet that it can step over cliffs n stuff.

My major problem with the Zerg was that, although their early units were INCREDIBLY effective. Their Later units were a joke. The mutalisk was pretty rubbish unless it was in guardian form (and even then it was vulnerable to ships). And the Ultralisk was probably the crappiest unit in the game. If they can add an effective tank type unit to the Zerg i will be happy. Along with the more versatile Zerglings and the always awesome hydralisks the Zerg would arguably have the most effective force in the game

Starcraft II >>> everything on PC

Halo 3 >>> everything on console

 

neither games are graphical powerhouses but their gameplay more than makes up for it.
