I'm going to add one one that no one ever seems to mention in these types of lists, but that drives me crazy: I am sick to death of [either player-controlled or NPC] characters that start bitching at you when you idle for even a few seconds. Examples: Roman complaining that "This is SO f***ing boring!" if you take a few seconds too long to take your shot while playing darts in GTA IV, or [insert player-controlled character] complains "Can't stand around all day!" If you don't move for a few seconds while you're reading a piece of the game's collectible "intel" or whatever.

This is all too common in far too many games, and it annoys the hell out of me. Yeah, it was amusing the first time we saw Sonic the Hedgehog tapping his foot impatiently while glaring at is in a cross-armed stance, but can we please get over it now?

Why so mean? The video is just a little blurry since I can't afford a better camera. I am perfectly comfortable with the way I look and am frequently & randomly complimented on my physical image when I'm out and about. You're not hurting my feelings, but I'll give you a cookie for trying. o^_^o

I rarely step outside of my lurker status, but I must speak up in this instance: You are the epitome of douchebaggery. Go die in a fire.

Resident Evil 6 is horse ****. I thought Resident Evil 5 was bad, but at least it successfully implemented the strong combat mechanics of Resident Evil 4. RE6, on the other hand, manages to be notably inferior to the 3DS title it's trying to emulate in terms of combat mechanics. Pathetic.

Winnipeggers are too depressed to go and buy one. Just a year after you got your hockey team back, and the NHL is in lockout. ;)

Most new consoles tend to sell out....even the 360's and PSPs were hard to find when they first launched. Just the fact that they're being sold out in some places doesn't say much about whether or not something is considered a hot commodity.MarkAndExecute

If a newly-released product being sold out at retailers after its first day on the shelves isn't an indicator of said product being a hot commodity, then what WOULD be? If the consoles were sitting on shelves collecting dust because consumers were still on the fence about it, um... would THAT make it a hot commodity? Anyway, I wasn't saying that everyone wanted one. Obviously, everyone does not. I was just saying that demand for the Wii U does, in fact, exist. I don't think the Wii U is going to be the sales phenomenon that its predecessor was, but selling out at many retailers upon launch is hardly indicative of a product that hasn't been successful in generating interest from consumers.

So does BLOPs and is missing key graphical features. That was to be expected since these games just a rushed port, but still disappointing. I really wanted to play BLOPs and Darksiders on this controller.

I haven't played the 360 or PS3 versions yet, but "BLOPS" looks and runs just fine for me on the Wii U. There are some odd framerate glitches that always occur in the same places, but they haven't been a frequent occurence. I don't find that the Wii U gamepad features add much to the gameplay, but support for superior Wii remote + Nunchuk controls was enough to make me choose the Wii U version over the 360 version, even though probably everything else is better optimized on the 360 version. *shrug*

[QUOTE="Phantom_Leo"]

I'm getting a VERY strong "now or never" vibe when I am out and about in stores today. While in line in that particular Walmart, I was standing behind a Mother buying a Wii game as a gift. She saw an employee buying a Deluxe for himself and asked him what it was. When he told her how short in supply they were, she IMMEDIATELY bought TWO and started calling all her Soccer-Mom friends. She went from spending $30 dollars to spending over $700+ in an instant, on impulse. Once Black Friday hits and the general public catches wind of what's out there, I just DO NOT believe they will be on shelves 'til AFTER the holidays!

Long story short: Try --TODAY-- while stores are stocking their shelves for Friday, or prepare yourself for a long, Winter's wait!

Grammaton-Cleric

If the Wii U was that hot and in demand there is no way you could walk into a store and nab one.

Both my Target and Walmart had plenty in stock. (Both sku's)

There will be a few regional shortages here and there but based on what I've seen and read the Wii U isn't going to be that hard to get. The only reason there aren't more available is because of the Ebay sellers nabbing multiple systems in hopes of turning a profit, which isn't happening.

The demand simply isn't there and I dont think that's going to change. Say what you will about the Wii but the motion controls made it a huge fad that generated massive consumer interest from non-gamers and by contrast the Wii U doesn't have that hook.

Walmart, Best Buy, Future Shop, EB Games, and virtually every other retail outlet in my city are all sold out of Wii U consoles. There appears to be at least some demand, and I highly doubt it's all eBay sellers.

It's hard to imagine any type of third party exclusive other than timed exclusives in this day and age, but who knows? I'm just surprised that Nintendo picked up the publishing rights to such a niche IP. It shows some commitment to core gaming, which is definitely a good thing.

I certainly hope so! After downloading and playing the demo on XBL, I was infuriated with how badly Team Ninja ****ed up Ninja Gaiden 3. Any attempt at improvement can only be seen as a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

I'm glad that I'll be able to transfer my Virtual Console and WiiWare games on to the Wii U, but I'm still upset that because there's no account or profile associated with those downloads, and they're attached to the console, I won't be able to trade or sell my Wii beforehand to help offset the cost of the 32gb SKU. Because I'm on a tight budget, this may result in my having to pre-order the basic 8gb model instead.
