Black Wii? A few years too late there >_>. Not going to shell out hard-earned money just to change the color of my console, and of course I cannot bring over VC or Wiiware games to the other Wii.

Nintendo is so far behind on that one that it's just shocking.

I still don't have a Wii yet, and I plan to get one soon, so this is good for me personally. However, I agree that Nintendo are way behind the ball on this; they really are the masters of screwing over the early adopter.

It looks really good. I need a Wii; I guess I'm just in time to pair up the Wii Classic Pro controller with a black Wii, though.

Windwaker has an art style so bland that few designers have sought to imitate it (IIRC Nintendo itself made a game with WW type graphics on the DS) but if hypercute cell shaded games are one's thing Eternal Sonata completely embarasses Wind Waker.

You seem to confuse "technically impressive" with "artistically impressive". Sometimes less is more, you know...

I'd say you are confusing technically unimpressive with artistically impressive. The less difference between the artist's vision and the game, the better.

Still, the character designs in Eternal Sonata look very similar to countless other cookie cutter anime RPGs, whereas Wind Waker's overall look remains much more unique. The characters faces in WW are very expressive, and some of the enemies in the game were beautifully designed and very creative. The fact that few other designers have sought to imitate its appearance doesn't mean it's bland; not many designers have tried to imitate Okami's beautiful water colour cel-shaded look either, and personally I think that game trumps both Eternal Sonata and Wind Waker in terms of being artistically impressive.

Super Mario Bros. for the NES. I'm still impressed, too, with how well the gameplay has held up for a title that's nearly 25 years old.

It's like RE4, which is one of the best games of all time. dvader654

It's like RE4, except it killed the sense of fear and isolation by setting the game in broad daylight and shifting to a co-op-focused gameplay experience. RE5 is a good game on it own merits, but it's a shame that it lost that balance between survival horror and action game that RE4 really had down.

I thought the PS2 port of Twisted Metal: Head-On was pretty well done. I'm really hoping we'll finally get to see Twisted Metal PS3 at this year's E3.

smerlus

I thought the game was pretty good too but I beat it with about 3 characters and my game save became corrupt. I quit playing it after that. in my list of favorites it would be TM2 > Black > Head On ps2 > Tm1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>all the rest

Twisted Metal 2 was deadly - one of my favourite PS1 games.

It didn't make much sense to launch the original DS when the GBA was tearing up the charts in 2004, only the fourth Christmas on the market for that system.Oilers99

Well, it made sense because their primary competitor in the console gaming market was about to launch a portable of their own, and Nintendo successfully secured their hold on the market by releasing the GBA's successor before the PSP had a chance steal its marketshare. This time around, Apple appear to be the larger threat than Sony - I'm beginning to notice a lot more people on the bus and around town gaming on iPhones than DSs or PSPs, so it way well be a very good idea for Nintendo to roll out the 3DS sooner rather than later.

Megaton news, will now wait from buying any new DS until this thing comes out. Good job sabotaging DS XL launch. :Pdvader654

No kidding. I was seriously considering selling my DS Lite in favour of picking up the DS XL for the larger screen and DSiWare, but forget that now that I know that the 3DS won't be far behind, and will support DS and DSi games. The timing of this announcement strikes me as a really poor marketing decision; it reminds me of when Capcom announced the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 just weeks before the Gamecube version launched. In any case, thanks to Nintendo for saving me some money!
