Why not do a wii make of it, surely that would fill a void until we got a better wii Starwars game?

While I don't think they would ever have gone the HD route with the Wii as that simply wasn't the plan more video memory and a better graphics chip would have meant better textures and better AA. That's all the little white box really needs, a dual core processor to help with AI routines etc might have been useful but not essential.

Nintendo because of damage control on their failed console (in terms of quality)

Tons of money > Internet fanboys.
The Nintendo internet fanboys will grow up one day however and stop buying their products, Nintendo knows this so therefore will release their console first. Other than the GBA and DS the Wii was my first true Nintendo Console, I don't regret buying it and will buy their next console. I think they will release first because I think they would have projected a different life span for the Wii over MS and Sony who both seem to have a predicted 10 year life span.Yeah that's why I can browse the web on my Wii - you can't on the 360 - oh and VC games - Wii Ware? Oh maybe you were talking about online gaming like Mario Kart or SSBB or The Conduit or various other games I could happily mention. Were you possibly referring to something else? I wouldn't sell my Wii - while overall I am disappointed at a lot of the games that come out on it. It has some genuine gems and there's more to come in that regard. Like you I also have a 360 so I get the best of both worlds - There's NOTHING on the PS3 so far that really really gets me wanting to play it. Maybe Uncharted 2 might I don't know.[QUOTE="Nomad0404"][QUOTE="Olimar_the_Min"]
Sell your Wii, as it is filled with casual games and shovelware. It barely has online for gods sake.

If you are going to take up a defensive stance against that statement, and I wont blame you if you do, dont pick the online portion of what he said. You have to admit, the Wii's online capabilities are completely stunted. It took ages to get a decent enough storage solution for downloadable content, and that still doesnt include addons to retail games or demos. Mario Kart online works well, but SSBB's most certainly does not, neither incorporate Wii Speak, which should have been released when the system launched, and all require friend codes which are frustrating.
Focus on the casual / shovelware argument, because that is, most definitely false. ;)
No no I think it's a misconception that the Wii 'barely has online for gods sake' and that it shouldn't be castrated for that.
You can run it down because a lot of the games released on it have been sub-par compared to last gen let alone this gen.
However, I'll stick to my guns when I say it has some real gems and I actually can't wait for games like Monster Hunter Tri and Red Steel 2 to come out so I'm keeping my Wii and I have the 360 as well which gives me double the gaming fun. And that's my point if you're Wii60 or PSWii you've got the best of both worlds this gen.

You lot do realise that ANY FPS on a console will compensate for the control method. You can't aim properly with ANY console control system so what they do is help you out abit, some games do it better than others, most will do it so that you don't notice. Only on a PC can you get pixel perfect controls with M&KB.
So it doesn't really matter if you are playing 4player on 60" 1080p (if any game actually does that!) or on 24" 480p the game itself will assist your aiming.
It's actually the sword-fighting game in Wii Sports Resort.
I wouldn't be surprised if the next Zelda Game incorporated something along the lines of what we see in that video. The mechanics would have to be FLAWLESS though.
I'd much rather see something like this in a Star Wars game. :)

I'd rather they copied Red Steel 2 for StarWars.
This is a really cool idea, especially if you can get it to feel like the battle at the start of hte Galdiator movie.
Huge siege engines ripping people to pieces around you as you battle your way through the hoards of hun/celts/brittons etc.
You also have to think that the Romans used partols and scouting parties.
Think it could be very well implemented.

As a lot of you may have noticed Wii-Fit sells like something that may no longer be available tomorrow.
However I've been wondering why you can't have two Wii boards for one Wii. Imagine Punch Out 2 using a pair of Wii Boards, or Shaun Whites where you can compete with your friends on two boards.
You don't have to own two boards, but if I took mine to my sisters house I could use them against my nephews.
What do you think?
Phil
I think to put it simply not without breaking one or more laws.
