Nope, everything that is gamespot has been compromised. We can no longer trust reviews, GOTYs, or anything else where someone has something to gain.

As far as reviews go here is my input.

All reviews prior to Jeff's sacking still has validity imo because if the EiC wouldn't put up with it, it's safe to assume reviews haven't been bought up until Kane and Lynch. However, from this point on GS ratings mean nothing as no one with integrety will be left at GS after this.

Also, make no mistake about it this story is true even if all you talk about is what has already been conceded.

Edios: Said they originally threatened to pull advertisements although later said they simmered down.

Jeff: Verified he was indeed sacked.

The Edios statement is very significant. It means that Edios did in fact cause Cnet problems because of Jeff's review. We don't know how much of an impact it had. It's very likely that the Edios complaint caused Cnet to have reason to revaulate Jeff. Or, it may just have been the final straw. It is a fact however, that Edios contributed to it, if only slightly.

[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"]I get the feeling there is much more to this story than people think. Anyone else feel like some info is going to come out that will mute the cries or vengance?kcpp2b

I agree

I think Jeff was fired and Eidos did what they did but Jeff was fired or maybe left for a different reason and someone tried to put 2 and 2 together

The only reason we are even talking about this is because it was leaked by someone (probably from GS staff). So you can assume that the original story is fairly accurate in what happened. The only indication other than the initial source is the blog bosts by TimT and BobC and the fact that we haven't heard anything yet.

You see, with the way that this story was indroduced, there was never a time where someone had to put 2 and 2 together. The news went directly from a source and the only other signs are the reactions to that inital source.

Besides forums nothing on GS is worth a damn. This just proves how GS has no credibility. I hope anyone who subscribes cancels thier subscription. This site along with CNET are a joke and K&L is the worst pile of crap to to ever be released. If someone still feels like you want to buy despite all this then buy it used. Don't give any of your money to Eidos to support this crap.angelfly

I think it proves GS had great credibillity considering their EiC got sacked instead of giving Kayne an Lynch a point higher. However, this all changes now.

This is actually quite interesting.

Judging by how it was leaked so quickly, it is safe to assume that there is a portion of the remaining GS staff unhappy about this that I don't think we even have to worry about leaving GS- If this is true, GS will be dead in no time. It will be interesting to see if Jeff and a few of the editors make a new site or what.

I've gotten an RROD from a power surge but that lasted what 10 seconds before it was up and running again :P

The failure rate has been around 10-30% (exact amount we don't know). However, hardware revisions seemed to have put it back to the typical 5%.

The problem is, if your 360 is the one that dies, you get it replaced with one that died in the past aswell so people that have their console die once get stuck in this awful circle of revived, soon to be dead, systems.

It's pretty sad when you make a gaming console that is more efficent at bruteforcing than it is at actually handling games.

Lemmings gloat about how the 360 has so many great games and a huge library but won't give up on MGS4, FFXIII and tekken 6?

Lemmings EXplain

Tnasty11

Because Lemmings actually care about games more than movies?
