I'd say, other than their entire Playstation line, Sony makes EXCELLENT electronics. I have a 36" Wega, and I absolutely LOVE that TV. I just upgraded to a new LCD, but I won't part with that Wega - it weighs about 3 million pounds, but the picture is still PERFECT!!!!

I still find it ironic that the one guy in this thread who spent countless hours tallying this poll, hasn't committed to a 'next gen' console - even though we're nearly TWO YEARS into the generation!!

What gives, Casey? Why do you even have an opinion on ANY of this???

Good Lord - this has to be one of the most pathetic threads I've ever seen. You want to know exactly what Sony and MS cannot 'emulate'? The fact that every Wii purchased has a Wii remote in the box. Tell me, exactly how can either Sony or MS accomplish this without splitting their userbase? I'll kill the suspense for you - they can't, so get over it.

Neither MS nor Sony can 'emulate' Nintendo to any degreeof successat this point - check back in 5 years and we can have this conversation again when the next round of consoles are released... :|

The only problem is the wii is mainly owned by a bunch of random people that were never really into games that much prior, so I am guessing much of the wii's will just sit around collecting dust. I will stick to the 360 and ps3. I prefer in depth games. Also, I owned a wii, and it was one of the worst consoles I have ever owned. Luckily they are hot so I was able to get all my money back I paid.

Your opinion on the userbase of the Wii is irrelevant. The fact is games are selling on that system (usually an indicator that a console is not sitting around 'collecting dust'), developers and publishers are noticing, and new games are getting announced almost weekly. Get over it.

On topic - VGChartz is pretty damn accurate... ...if some of the people in this forum would get their head out of their ***** and realize what it is they are actually reporting and what the difference is between that and what MS, Sony, and Nintendo are reporting, they may actually understand. They're not 100% (and they've never claimed to be), but they are damn good for a 'free' reporting service - just look at some of their comparison articles where they put their numbers up against NPD (a company that charges tens of thousands of dollars for access).

I'd say anybody that just blatantly dismisses them without backing up their statements with facts, is simply being a fanboy in denial...

Had they game been selling like crap, the forums would be littered with 'See - 3rd parties make no money on Wii!!!'
But, since the game is selling pretty good, we are forced to revert to the 'Well, there really isn't anything else worth playing'

Not nearly as impressive as 11.58 million sold. A more impressive feat is that the Wii is outselling the PS3 by 4 to 1 in the US and nearly that much in Japan.

The 360 is selling more in the US than the PS3 is selling worldwide currently.

There is NOTHING impressive about the PS3 sales currently.

I really hope that 11.58 million number you just threw out there, wasn't in reference to the 360...

...you will wind up placing yourself in the same category as the people in this thread that think Sony sold 6 million PS3s. :(

Edit: Unless you're referring to the 360 as having shipped that many - in which case, we're ok. :)

the lack of intelligence in many lemmings astounds me sometimes, how people cant figure out this is before the pricedrop is beyond me :/
