Well... ...to be fair... **snicker** ...it seems the 360 is able to hold it's own against the GBA - why not the PS3??? LOL!!! :lol:

My thoughts are that this is going to get locked - there's a sticky for a reason, ya know... :P

Sony fanboys are upset, saying that RE4 should have sold more than 250,000 in it's first week. Nintendo's sales don't matter to anyone, and gaming is in a terrible state because mario party 8 came out in first place. Also, people were tricked into buying that pokemon game for the wii because it scored low and had bad online support.

This is a very important stat (thanks CJL - you saved me the time!!!). What it shows is that week-on-week average, the PS3 sales were still going down. Now, I know there was a price cut in July and we're likely to see a spike in sales when those numbers finally come out, but the point is that back in June, people didn't know a price cut was looming on the horizon, so it's not like these numbers are down because people were waiting - they were down because people weren't willing to shell out the 600clams fora PS3.

...and once the 'sell out' ofthe discontinued system is over and we're back to a $600 PS3, without a major release you can expect the numbers to drop right back into this area again.

I do agree with you as well but you sports analogy is kinda of off. The Yanks are a bad example as would be the Lakers and the Cowboys whose shere lore of the past would drive atheletes to wana play in these places (the money helps of course but notwhithstanding playing for those teams well to begin with would bring money regardless). Oh, come on - are you telling me there are legions of Halo fans that are still sitting around playing nothing but a 2 1/2 year old game??? That they have no interest in anything that's been released on the 360 and are content playing the same game over and over until Halo3 comes up??? That, more than anything else I've heard in this debate, sounds completely ludicrous.

I'll tell you one thing. I'm one of the people that's waiting to getan Xbox 360. Yes they do exist. I am living proof. I'm waiting for the 65 nm chips and Halo 3 to purchase my 360.

So then tell me honestly - what have you been playing all of this time??? Not being sarcastic, but I don't believe you've really been playing Halo2 for 2 years now...
